You can see the small wood block above the marble with the a slope on the face closest to the marble. If you invert this picture you have the condition when the marble gets to the top of the wheel. Now the marble sits on this sloped wood block and it rolls out the back of the wheel on to the track.

  28. Lisa looks great for 41! Her daughter is cute and never shed that “baby fat” but thats because Lisa can throw down in the kitchen. She even has a cookbook. If she were my mom I would probably be bigger lol..I love how she has obviously made her comfortable with her size and not try to conform to todays status of “beauty”. Even though you have to wonder what she thinks and feels seeing as her mother has been a “sex-symbol” in numerous magazines.

  29. Princess misick,

You have a beautiful daughter! Kai is full figured like myself. She looks like a model. She is beautiful enough to be one. She looks like a sweet heart! She is very beautiful and so are you. Kai, I hope you are keeping your grades up so you can go to college like your mommy did. I know you have a well balanced life with the type of mother you have! I wish she were my mom! God Bless the both of you and have a great year!I love you both!!!!!!!

  30. To all the HATER’S out there leave well enough alone. I am a women of size 6ft tall attactive, and not ashame of it. Big women are in and just because we are a certain size that dosen’t make us ugly, or unheathly.Half of you haters haven’t stated what they looking like, so you choose to hide behide this email, and talk all that crap. Well this is a good time for blacks of all shapes, and sizes. We have a new president and he say we can, and yall say we cant. get over it you either love us, or leave us alone, and keep your ghetto comments to yourselfs. Its all about a change black people work on it.

  31. Everyone here who has commented (at least as far as I could stand to read the incorrect information posted) needs to go do some research on two subjects History and Biology.
    1. Ethiopia the cradle of civilization pre-dates Arab civilization.
    2. All hair is chemically the same, it is what’s happening in the hair follicle which will determine if hair is straight or curly and to what extent. Curly hair follicles also secrete less oil hence curly hair tends to be drier and why people with super straight hair tend to get oily fast and some wash their hair daily.

    3. Australian Aborigines have straight and ‘mixed’ looking hair and I’m talking full blooded Aborigine and they do not have straight noses.

    4. So called Black can make so-called white because white is the presence of a defective gene which causes a deficiency of melanin. White cannot make black. Melanin is a chemical that has to do with so many of our functions and all people have it and need it to survive.

    5. Black people come in all shades, shapes and sizes, some without having mixed with Anglo or Arian because nature and God is random like that. So making all these blanket statements like they are fact is wrong.

Like I said go do some research, read and stop regurgitating false beliefs and information; get some facts and just use some common sense.

Also, I cannot judge Lisa Raye. I like her as an actress and I thought wow it’s nice she found her prince, but we have all gone through bad experiences, it’s called life.

Her daughter is beautiful, she is not sloppy, she is a big girl, it may be that it’s hereditary and skipped Lisa; maybe she has a hormone imbalance or thyroid. Or maybe she is perfectly healthy. Maybe she eats well, but doesn’t like to workout? It could be anything. Does it matter? Why does it matter? She might be fitter than a lot of skinny people I know. As long as she is not morbidly obese. In my culture she is a healthy girl and pretty. This obsession with women being slim to stick is a new one and truthfully that girl might have better luck finding a good man than her mother has.

Also, that connection that I see between mother and daughter is not one of a neglected, unloved child. There seems to be a bond between them that usually is created in the formative years that cannot be broken. My ten year old and I are like that and I am a hard working divorced mother who wants my child to have the best of everything. We don’t know what sacrifices Lisa made before she made it and if she thinks a boarding school is the best option for her to give her child a higher starting out point in the world that is her prerogative. My aunt went to boarding school (which she loved) when my grandparents went to make a better life and when she graduated she went to them; she did not want to live where they moved to so my parents who were newly married with their newborn (me) became her guardians. I sometimes wish I had gone away earlier than college. I think my aunt is more resilient and more resourceful than me in some ways.

If that child has to go into therapy because her mom tried to do her best to give her the best or better than she had, then she better stand in line and take a number. My daughter, may very well blame me for stuff. I blame my mom for stuff but I know she did what she thought was best. Everybody blames the mother.

If the child worked for and is deserving of the scholarship and earned it then so be it. It would be nice if she could afford it to give it to a needier person, but who are we to judge. We don’t know all the details and what I don’t know I don’t form opinions about. We don’t know Lisa Raye’s financial situation, looks can be deceiving and it looks like she won’t be getting much or anything from her husband.

Stop judging others so harshly and taking pleasure in others misfortune, but most importantly get some facts, do some real research, (not wiki)before you spout wrong information.

  32. listen, they are both alive. it would be the same thing if one was dark and one was light. stop all of the nonsense. who cares. let the little one grow into who she is. trust Lisa will help her daughter with any issues that she may have. kill the noise!

  33. Why are you ladies so concerned about how fat she is. Please for the sake of our children get over it. We’re not all built the same people.

  34. Wow…Lisa likes to post alot of comments about herself. I guess it keeps that fake ideal of success alive for her.
She has a daughter and a birthday–really incredible (add sarcasm).

  35. Back to what I said about East Africans not counting. They do count as a person from the African Continent,BUT They are mixed.

  36. @ SUZ. I understand that nobody is “full” black, but at the same time, an African American with two black parents and black grandparents are NOT going to go around claiming to be mixed. If that were the case ALL African Americans would claim to be mixed instead of simply calling themselves African American. If the MAJORITY of someone is of black descent, than I’m going to call them black. The point I was trying to make is that just because someone has a staight nose, long hair etc.. does not mean that they are DIRECTLY mixed.

  37. LoveLyla,

Are you implying that Lisa’s daughter is heavy because she only got material love from her mom? She may have been sexually violated or any number of other reasons beside the fact that her mom showered her with material things instead of love and attention.

  38. I agree with Suz I have even said as much in a few of my other post. I am a tawny color and my nose is pointy. People tell me all the time I have a white person’s nose. Whatever that means.

It is the reason there are so many color variations in people skin tones. Just because your parents are both black doesn’t mean that they can’t have some other heritage back down in the family tree.

It’s funny. My two older kids are both darker than my husband and I and the to little ones are lighter than he and I.

  39. Dre=The Eastern Africans bit don’t count. They are near the Middle Easterners, and Asians. So they are racially mixed. And like I said above to MINA, if you’re an African American and have had relatives here since slavery time, your genes aren’t FULL African. There is atleast some European or Native American genes in the lineage.

  40. MINA=No one is FULL “Black” if they are an African American and their relatives have been here since slavery.

Now if your grandparents or your parents are straight from the African continent, mainly the Western half then sure they could be Full African.

  41. Just like my past few statement. It is never good enough to give a compliment we have to make a negative comment. For the haters try it one time… repeat after me. “REALLY NICE PICTURES OF MOTHER AND DAUGHTER” There, there that wasn’t so bad!

  42. Her Daughter received one of the scholarships that the other Children have been fighting for all their lives. She is doing the Ultra Scholar so to speak. With all that is happening now down in the Turks & Caicos Islands, she will be back in a LA College real soon. As for LisaRaye, that’s a story of another Color.

  52. Lisa has led a long and diverse career in show business. She got to start modeling, then segued into acting, she has recorded music, become a businesswoman and is First Lady. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and is the half sister of rap singer Da Brat, via her father.
She launched two fashion lines in 2005, Luxe & Romance, a lingerie line that was introduced during New York’s Fashion Week, and Xraye, her new jeans line for women.
