SOLANGE KNOWLES GIVES YOUNG TEENAGE MOTHERS ADVICE

oct-22.jpgSolange Knowles, sister of Beyonce,is giving young teenage mothers advice, specifically to mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears. Just a few weeks ago,Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of Britney Spears, broke news to the world that she is pregnant at the age of 16 years-old. The question of a teenager, especially a celebrity child star getting pregnant at such a young age has plaqued many a people. Yet Solange who herself also gave birth at the age of 17 years-old has only words of encouragement for the the mother-to be. Solange has this to say:

I have been so blessed that my son is the coolest kid ever. Of course, that first year of not sleeping and just being dedicated to him had tough parts but that’s fine. It’s been a blast for me. “A lot of people have doubts, but when you have a child I think it takes a really non-emotional person not to have a blast, no matter what age. “I’ve heard stories of people who were 14 that had kids and basically snapped into it and got into the groove of motherhood. I think that emotional attachment, there’s nothing out of it that you could regret.”

What do you think about what Solange has to say? Is she in fact encouraging teenagers to have kids at a young age?

I really think its a shame they way the way the some ppl down teen pregnancy…Mary (the mother of Jesus) was a poor unmarried 16 year old when she had Jesus…Jesus was born with NOTHING! & look how powerful he is today!!!! I had my precious ,smart, sweet, well mannered Princess when I was 16…I was a wild, uncontrolable, sexually abused, juvenile deliquent…having my daughter gave me the healing I needed to get my life in order…did I cry,was it hard YUP,YUP!! but I also graduated college & received a masters dagree, any women ,any age will tell you they have also had their share of pain & made mistakes in life!! SOlange is totally RIGHT!!I will not let society say what age is politically corredct to have a child…I’ll let God do that…giving birth IS BEAUTIFUL,& taking care of tht baby properly is a sign of strength…TO ALL TEEN MOMS STAND TALL…YOU DIDN’T COWARDLY KILL THE INNOCENT LIFE OF YOUR CHILD!!be PROUD!! lol the same ones putting you down, have done alot worse & they clearly feel guilty thats why they are being so critical!!!!

having a child is a life changing experience and should not be encouraged in teenagers. However if it happens…..

I don’t think she was encouraging teenage pregnancy but telling those who are young and already have children to make the best out the situation.

i think that solange wat eva she shuld jus take a min and think wat she is say n also i am a teeen and i am not ready for a child im still one my self and how can u bascially say it dosent matter the age as long asa u have confidence see her deal is wich i dont know for sure wat goes on in her house hold but she has money and the support that i know of she is a celebrituy. it takes more3 than love to raise a baby if u have love u can make it along way but u need moarl support u need trust u need mioney u need the courage not the damn confiendnce. she can say that speaking on her behalf but on others u have to do wat u feel is best the best thing to prevent it is just wait im 17 n imwait n to the time is right ….. so dnt dwn her n dnt up her jus let her no thanks 4 the opipion

I personally think that Solange is being a bit unrealistic about having a child at a young age. Am I saying that she and other young moms are wrong for having their babie, no. Children are a blessing, however what can an average 15 or 16 year old child have to offer to another child. Unless your family is wealthy, how does a teenager have time to go to school, work, take care of the baby, and then have time for themselves? I have friends with two kids and they haven’t even reach 20 yet. I see them struggling with minimun wage jobs, unable to pay rent, living in one room with two babies. My advice to young girls is to wait it out. You have the rest of your life to fall in love, get pregnant, the whole nine.

any young girls can listen to her advice if you want to. i wouldnt listen to any rich person talking about their life’s experiences. it just doesnt apply to the rest of the world. having a baby at a young age is a terrible thing and extremely difficult to bounce back from, especially financially

I THINK ITS ALL GOOD SOLANGE IS TRYING TO BE INSPIRING HOWEVER SHE LOKS DUMB AS HELL. SHE RUSHED INTO HER MARRIAGE AND RUSHED INTO MOTHERHOOD SOMETHING SHE NOT TELLING YOUNG TEENAGERS THAT ISNT A WISE THING TO DO. IMA TEENAGER MYSELF AND I REALLY AM NOT READY FOR CHILDREN MOST FEMALES HAVE CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY WANT TO PLAY THE “WIFEY ME AND MY MAN GOT A FAMILY” ROLE BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY IT’S A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN THAT. pLUS SOLANGE GOT MORE MONEY THAN MOST YOUNG TEENAGERS. i THINK FEMALES NEED TO FOCUS ON THEMSELVES FIRST AND FOR MOST THAN WHEN THEY ARE READY TO BRING AONTHER LIFE INVOLVED THAN DO WHAT THEY DO. AND AS MUCH AS SOLANGE CLAIMS SHE’S HAPPY THIS THAT N THE THIRD I KNOW DAMN WELL…NOT SAYING SHE REGRET HER SEED BUT I KNOW IF SHE CAN CHANGE BACK THE HANDS OF TIME CERTAIN THINGS WOULDNT OF HAPPEN BUT THAN AGAIN IT DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF FEMALE SHE IS.

I think she’s right. It doesn’t matter what age you have one. As long as you’re confident, you can make it.
