Rapper lil Wayne is pictured with his ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Carter, and his 8-year-old daughter Reginae. The rapper whose real name is Dwayne Carter j.r. lived a fast life growing up ;he and then wife Antonia had their first child at the very tender age of 14 and 15.  This is what Antonia had to say about the experience:
Via Vibe.com:
Was it a surprise when you found out you were pregnant?

Yeah, it was a complete surprise. My family wanted me to have an abortion because we were only fourteen and fifteen. I wasn’t with that because me and my aunt - who I lived with at the time - they didn’t really believe in that. His mother [said] she’d help me with the baby. It was a surprise to his mother too. His mother never told him, like he said in the interview, to go out and find someone. She was like, y’all young, you know, but I’ll help you out with the baby and stuff like that. It was a complete surprise to everyone.

How is your relationship now[with Lil Wayne]?

We really don’t see much of each other. And when we do, it’s really like sometimes he gets on his kick about family, he wants to be with us, you know ‘f’ these b’s. You know how men talk. And he wanna do whatever, but he’s just a man doing this and the other.
We really don’t have a real relationship where we’re together or where we be around each other or I see him a lot. But we talk here and there. We always call and talk to each other once in awhile, maybe say a few things or whatever, “I love you.” Or like when he need someone to talk to, I’m always there for him and when I need someone to talk to, he’s there.

Blackcelebritykids says:BCK does not in any way shape or form condone having children at a young age. It takes not only a village to raise a child, but also a strong mindset to do so.  As such,we do not share the opinions or decisions of the above-mentioned individuals.

You people need to get a life and stop worrying about other people’s lives. Ecspecially celebrities, these people don’t know you nor do they do anything to benefit your lives [except entertain you] which they dont do a good job at that. These people have problems of their own. They don’t even care about you!

  • john akhigbe says:

    i love them

lil wayne is not a bad father what are you suppose to do at the age of 16 when you have a child…..of course your not going to be the greatest father at that age but you will still be a good 1 and support them……iloveyou dewayne

  • RG says:

to be honest fourteen is WAY too young to have a baby. I actually feel sorry for Antonia, because she should have been enjoying her childhood, not having a baby. I kind of lost respect for lil wayne after hearing this, because I’m surprised at the way he treated Antonia and his daughter. It seems to me that he was neglectful and irresponsible. I think he should have tried harder, especially now since he can do something about it. If not for Antonia, he should at LEAST be a good father for his daughter.

Lil wayne is a good father and i don’t appreciate u dissin him like that. I luv lil wayne, and you don’t know what was (is) goin on in that man’s life so you can’t judge him by what you hear and read. Iluv u Lil Wayne(:

    • U know people r so quick 2 judge without actually having 2 walk in smone shoes. I had my 1st child young as well & I do agree that, that’s 2 young 4 a child 2 have a baby. Nevertheless when situations arise u never plan 4 the worse. U enjoy the moment. Especially dealing w/absent parents& parents w/drug dependency, I know that all 2 well. As I see it they both had a lot of life issues take them 2 this point & making a choice 2 bring Regginae in this world had 2 b the hardest decission 4 them 2 make. I know it was 4 me. Toya: hold ur head up I respect u as a single mother now raising ur daughter 2 do better than u have. Ur life would have never been complete without her (I don’t believe in abortion either) my children have turned out just fine. Weezy: U do the same although no one believes in what ur decissions have been nor understand ur mistakes at the end of the day Toya & Regginae are well taken care of………as far as the marriage…….I’m sure she has forgiven u /if not she’s working on it nothing stays the same 4ever. Regginae seems 2 be proud of u both THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS!!!! If u were still normal people in a normal life would these things that’s been publicized be so important 2 the world? “NO!” It would only be important 2 Toya/Regginae/Wayne as young parents we make mistakes. Just learn 4rm them & make new ones. Lol its never 2 late 2 change as long as ur living. I love y’all man ……..it gives me hope! Stay blessed

  • noDRAMA says:

aww i think she look like her dad the most..

  • Tiiz says:

Have a child @ any age is hard! . Having one so young…even harder! (I know I did it and went to college.) Having minimal support system even harder! Lil’ Wayne used the need to provide for his child to become successful. Every man and woman should do that.

It’s great that he’s successful but that’s where he stops being a role model. He is not attractive, nor is the way he treats women attractive. I can’t believe any woman on earth thinks a man is attractive that doesn’t respect them. You’ve heard his songs. Getting 2 women pregnant at the same time - what message is he sending his daughter who is growing into a young woman herself). Giving up self-respect for money. NO can DO!

For those of you who admire him…don’t. Like his music but don’t admire him. He’s just a Man who happens to have a whoole lot of money. Please don’t date men like him have more self esteem than that! YOU deserve to be treated like and Queen–the ONLY queen.

I wish him and his families the best!

  • bailey rucker says:
