  Hi Hedi,

  Thanks for sharing this picture with us. Last night whilst at our son’s 7th birthday dinner the conversation came around hair styles. We have five kids of mixed race (African American and Australian) and two have smaller ringlets with big Afros similar to your son’s, while two have nearly straight hair and one has very large curls. The challenge is the two with Afros are teenage boys 14 and 18 and they aren’t chasing girls yet so they don’t care that much about their hair. I sometimes cringe when they go out indifferent to fact that fluff or it might be matted down on one side. Of course they blow off my comments that it should be cut low and smart. It’s great to see you are comfortable with an Afro but you have the advantage that he has to listen you and his Dad… Well at least for now …!

  Gorgious kid, thanks for sharing and reminding me how nice Afros can look.
