ACTRESS KARYN PARSONS(“HILLARY BANKS”) AND KIDS
Celebrity mom Karyn Parsons says she does not miss playing the self-indulgent diva Hilary Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It could be that she’s too busy juggling play dates in the park for daughter Lana, 4, and son Nico, 10 months, to reminisce about her narcissistic television character.
In addition to parenting, these days, Parsons is thinking about education. In fact, while she was filming The Fresh Prince, her mother would call her with Black history stories. She felt that some of the stories would be well-suited for a children’s book and began working on a compilation. In 2003 Parsons married Alexander Rockwell and started a family. ‘I was thinking about my own responsibilities as a parent that were coming up, and teaching my daughter about her heritage.’ So, in 2004 Parsons started Sweet Blackberry, a production company based in New York, where she and her family live.
She’s written and produced two animated films that are available on DVD.She says that the stories are meant to be a fun way to teach children about their history, ‘especially about Black Americans who we don’t hear about so much. If young people get interested early, it’s something that will stay with them for a lifetime.

Some of you that have commented are so rude and sound quite ignorant. People have already mentioned the difference between an albino and other races. The little girl can not be albino because she has hair colour (blonde) and eye colour as well as redness in her lips. An albino would not be able to have this. They have no colour at all, no melanin so no chance of having any bit of colour on their skin at all.
Also she was married to Randy Brooks and he’s black, so all this useless talk about her not finding a “brotha” is stupid.

Um Lana is definately Albino, I am a sociology major and spend hours studying features of all people. My wife is African American Albino,which is possbile(Refering to the folks who only think there are white Albinos;there are also Asian and Latino but the most occurences are actually from African Descent)
So i can say with much conviction that Lana is Albino.

I also believe karyn’s daughter may be albino. Therefore, she aint gon change in her appearance where hue is concerned.
A brotha is too selfish to be with a sista, most of them are anyway. They are looking for someone to give them something, and just that . They aint thinking about giving back. Who wants someone like that anyway. So good they are not interested in a sista. Sistas should be glad if a brotha is not interested in them. Less trouble they have to deal with. The child is not albino! She’s jus mixed race. I com from a country of various mixtures of races(Trinidad and Tobago) and that child may very well grow up with a darker shade than that. Her son is cuter though. Someone mentioned that she may b 2 stuck up 2 want 2 b wit a “brother” – mayb a lil – but actually, probably no “brother” was accessible 2 her cuz he’s not interested in a “sista”! Mel. A.

LOL. Her daughter has her eyes and you can tell that the kids have white in them (not albinos..by now ppl don’t know the difference?!) and she is mix so in many cases when that happens the kids turn out close to this

@savannah -people with albinism have red eyes, if her father is white then she prob only recived white genes from both sides – it is possible and has happened with a set of twins in the UK.
Not all albinos have red eyes. A girl I know has blue eyes.

I’ve watched Fresh Prince for quite a while and found you, Ms. Parsons, very attractive and enjoyed your performance in other movies such as Major Payne and The Ladies Man as well. Your children are beautiful and are a great illustration of the beauty of their mother.
I watch the fresh prince all the time and I never get tired of Hillary she was so funny and excellent in that role.
