Rapper Swizz Beatz and his wife of four years are divorcing. The two,however,will remain on amicable terms for the sake of their one-year-old son, Kasseem Jr.

Rapper/producer SWIZZ BEATZ is to divorce his wife after four years of marriage, according to reports.Swizz Beatz - real name Kasseem Dean - and his R+B singer wife Mashonda wed in 2004 and have a one-year-old son, Kasseem Jr.A spokesperson for the star has refused to specify a reason for the couple’s parting, but is adamant the separation was “on amicable terms”.The representative tells AllHipHop.com, “Their union was one shared in love and deep admiration for one another.

“For the last seven months, the two have been working on establishing a formidable friendship, being great parents to their son, and remaining great supporters of each other’s careers.
“The couple has asked that their privacy be respected at this time.”
Both parties will be focusing on their respective careers, with Swizz working on a follow-up album to his 2007 disc, One Man Band Man, and Mashonda reportedly launching a high-end swimwear line.
