After 12 years of playing in the NBA,Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant finally won the most sought after trophy,the MVP award. In attendance to witness the momentous occasion were his two daughters Gianna and Natalia and his wife Vanessa.This is what Kobe had to say about winning the MVP award:
“I really don’t know what to say to be honest with you. It’s a blessing and such an honor to be here. To receive this award, I can go through a list of thank you’s. My family, they enabled me to be the best I can be.., training everyday and they give up so much to sacrifice for me to be able to train and prepare for games and I’m just very honored and blessed to be here.” Bryant said.
“I couldn’t have won without my players, my teammates. This is a team award. This is not an individual award. This is an award I couldn’ve won on my own. If that was the case I would’ve won when I was averaging 40,” He laughs and continues. “This gets done because we all do it as a union. I can’t thank these guys enough. These are my guys, these are my brothers. Let’s get ready for tomorrow.”

The little girls are adorable. The youngest girl looks just like him. Kobe isn’t my favorite person, however, I give the couple credit for keeping their marriage together this long.

I’m just curious, are there NO black women around when these dudes decide to settle down?
I am so happy you said that. That is the question I have. It seems that they find Black women contagious once they have reached high economic status. I do not understand. I would think because of the high levels of discrimination that Black people experience daily, that they would find the need to want to economically sustain Black women. Black women in comparison to other races are the least to marry their women. They they wonder why every other race has a stronger economic base that Black people. It is partly because they understand the power in unity and part of that unity is bring their women up economically by marrying them when they economically advance. There are so many Black women that need help and it is sad that you cannot turn to your own men for help, especially in the midst of being discriminated against by ever other group. I would hate to see what the future of the Black economy looks like if this pattern continues
