Good way to force your kids into doing things behind your back. I think 14 is too young to be “dating” but he’s going overboard. Those of us who have teens / adult children know it’s only a matter of time before she rebels and when she does nothing he says will matter. That’s the unfortunate part about he’s going about things. Threatening someone’s child could get him killed. That’s just not cool.

Thanks pops for caring; however, disowning your child for disobedience is absurd and he is taking that too far…hopefully that was a threat, and he didn’t really mean that. But I agree 16yrs old would be more appropriate to start dating, but it is now when the hook ups occur, and if he tries to keep them apart, the sneaking comes into play…let the kids live life…def let the kids know what is important and what their main focus should be right now; but as I stated, he should be careful with the threats and the separation becuase maybe all what he has set asided doesn’t mean much to her and she just wants to be a teenager…Keeping that tight of a leash on a kid will make them go astray…let go just a little bit and see if she breaks the rules/trust that he has for her and then over do it…you don’t want to keep them locked down and then when they do get out and get that freedom…they lose control…mark my words…I have seen it done over and over and over and over!

I personally believe that Terrence ran out. I understand that he wants to protect his daughter, but he can’t go on threatening the life of other people children… That’s not right. She is too young to be dating guys, but she should be able to have male friends so that when she goes to College, she will know how to control herself and know her limit with guys. It’s one thing for your perents to tell you about guys, but everyone must learn for thenselves…

am i the only one that remembers bein 14? “Dating” to them is talkin on the phone and sitting together at lunch! Terrence is a grown man n threatening a child like that is wrong. Plus extremely counter-productive. The harder he fights it the faster she’ll run to him!

Terrence howard is such a good father to his kids. i think Terrence Howard is looking out for his daughter so he is doing a great job. Terrence Howard love all his kids. Terrence Howard should cheek out his daughter boyfriend because you want to know more about him. Terrence Howard has the right to cheek out his daughter boyfriend. i do agree with Terrence Howard rules. i wish i had Terrence Howard as my daddy. Terrence Howard is watching over kids. Terrence Howard is still a good father. his daughter should know that her daddy is watching over her. Terrence Howard is doing a good job being a parent. he cares about kids.

i agree with everything except cutting her off from her inheritance. that’s going too far. he needs to raise her to make good decisions not because she wants his money but because she knows right from wrong. i think she deserves the inheritance just for having a crazy-a$$ daddy.lol

I think it’s great that he’s a very hands on dad but threatening to disown your kid every time they don’t do what you want is BAD.
He could just explain why he doesn’t want her to date at her age and punish her in other ways.
Also, it doesn’t seem like he’s against her dating in general but just against dating that particular boy.
