The mother of rapper 50 Cent’s 10-year-old son,Shaniqua Tompkins, insists that her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent had something to do with the fire that engulfed his $1.4 million home on Friday morning(May 30,2008). The Dix Hill home has been the center of a bitter lawsuit between the exes and Shaniqua claims that the rapper had something to with the fire.Shaniqua Tompkins told reporters on Friday:
“He’s upset. If he can’t have it[the house], no one can. He threatened me.”
50 Cent’s lawyer Brett Kimmell says,however,that any suggestion that the rapper had something to do with the the fire on Friday morning is ridiculous:
“Any suggestion that Mr. Jackson had anything whatsoever to do with the fire at his home is outrageous and offensive.”
Perhaps “offensive” because the rapper’s son,Marquise Jackson,was in the million-dollar home at the time the blaze took place.
