CELEBRITY BABY NEWS VIA REDSKINS LINEBACKER LONDON FLETCHER
Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher and his wife Charne have welcomed their second child, a baby boy,born on July 22nd:
London Fletcher’s new baby boy is named Cortland Steele Fletcher. He reports that Cortland came in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 inches.
“He’s great,” Fletcher said after Wednesday morning’s practice. “Mom is doing well. Baby boy is doing great. They’re still in the hospital, but everyone is doing great.”
Where did he get the name from?
“Well, we didn’t want to name him London,” Fletcher said. “We wanted to give him his own identity. We thought those two names were different. We thought it was a very strong and powerful name.”
Was it hard to concentrate on the practice field?
“Once I step in between the lines, I’m all football,” he said. “You don’t have any choice to be focused on football with these pads on.”
London and Charné also have a daughter named Paige.
