SHAUNIE O’NEAL:SHAQUILLE AND I ARE NOT DIVORCING

Everything seems to be going well for the wife of NBA star Shaquille O’neal. In an interview conducted on August 14th,in her home in Windemere,Florida, Shaunie O’neal revealed that she and her husband have reconciled and are no longer getting a divorce. In addition, the mom of six says that she is launching a new website specifically geared for kids.
The wife of Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O’Neal said Thursday that her marriage to the NBA star is on the mend.During an interview about the launch of her new video-sharing Web site, Shaunie O’Neal told The Associated Press that the couple plans to stop divorce proceedings soon.
“Neither one of us could probably answer why we were getting one in the first place,” Shaunie O’Neal said.Shaquille O’Neal filed for divorce in Miami-Dade Circuit Court in September 2007, after nearly five years of marriage.”Things have been going so great, that someone actually had to remind us that ‘Hey, you do remember those papers are still there.’ Literally, it was days ago,” Shaunie O’Neal said. “So, we’ve agreed that before we leave Florida in a few days we’ll make sure that that’s gone away.”The couple has six children: four together, and each had one of their own before the Dec. 26, 2002, wedding.
“The kids and I kind of learned about the divorce at the same time,” Shaunie O’Neal said. “So that was hard. That was probably the worst part of the whole thing, was being able to deal with how hurt the whole kids were.”
Shaunie O’Neal’s latest venture, a video-sharing Web site geared to showcase children and their talents, is set to formally launch Sept. 1. The site was created to give families a kid-friendly, safe place to upload and share videos, she said.
In all,the O’neal’s have four children (Shareef, Amirah, Shaqir, and Me’arah, ages ranging from 8 to 2, in order). Shaunie has one child Myles, 11, from a previous relationship;Shaquille also has a daughter Taahirah, 12 from a previous relationship.

Good I’m glad, love them as a couple although I know neither of them or what led them to want to go that route in the 1st place. Glad it ended with a reconciliation.

yeah, youre right Sarah. Shaq’s boys are actually quite skinny but the lil girl Amira is huge for her age. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the youngest lil girl. I just remember Amira from the episode of cribs.

To be honest, it sounds like she is suger coating their rough patch by claiming that she nor Shack could remember why they were splitting in the first place. I am married, and while my husband and I have never contemplated divorce, I would imagine that if we did it would mean there is something seriously wrong with our relationship. Moreover, I’ve been around plenty of married people in my day, and non of them have used the “D” word on a whim. Having said that, she and her man really need to confer with a marriage counselor to do some house cleaning. Saying things are alright (and hoping for the best) might not work when there are serious–unresolved– issues in the marriage.
I agree with you here too. He sleeps with prostitutes and they refer to him as little Shack. His wife was taking money and storing it in a private account. So they have lots of issues to resolve and hoping for the best is not good enough when you don’t have trust.
