I can see why people ask ‘why doesn’t he marry her’ but just because you have a child or children together doesn’t mean that you are meant to be together. The worst thing a man can do is to marry a woman because she is pregnant or they have children. Maybe he’s not ready for marriage, maybe she’s not. Marriage isn’t for everybody, it’s a serious step. How long is she going to stay? If she feels he’s not going to marry her then maybe she need to move on. Why didn’t he marry one of his other baby mama’s?

No Kim the worse thing a man can do is leave his family and not take care of them at all. It’s nothing wrong with marrying a woman you knocked up….that’s what a real man would do. Back in the 40’s and 50’s it would be un-man like to not marry a woman after you have got her pregnant….today’s morals and values have changed to make the family weaker especially black families. It’s so sad. If people like yourself did not except things like this society would not do it, but TV and radio feed this to you and make you think it’s okay and once again they do it even more in the black communities because they know it’s a way to keep us back. Children brought up in homes where they have both parents who are committed to each other through God and the law are much better off than those who’s daddy’s have 3 or 4 different babies mamma’s. Marrying the mother of your children not only shows you are committing to her but also your children.
Understood but as we all know marriage doesn’t mean they are going to be together forever. They can get marry and still break up, then what. As long as he takes care of his children. We’re not in the 40’s or 50’s anymore. Unknown you’re right with your points. But we are living in a different time. So if they get married and divorced, does that mean he’s going to stop being a father.
she can’t control if he asks her to marry him or not, but she CAN control sleeping with men unprotected. she’s having all these babies and exposing herself to not only diseases but also the emotional piece of being with a man who doesn’t respect you enough to want to marry you. we can’t only blame him for not asking, but her for allowing herself to get in the situation. i agree with you unknown; just because it happens all the time, doesn’t make it right. it’s so beautiful to see michelle and barack making a statement for all the world to see that the black family is still intact in some homes and that many of us want that and live that. kim, just cause he can ‘take care of them’ (i assume you meant financially) is no reason to have kids. there is so much that comes into being a good father and respecting their mother is a huge part of it. i personally am disgusted cause it’s more ammunition for the white community talk about us. we should all want more for ourselves.

Just because you can take care of your children thats no reason to have them but protection goes both ways she knows what to do if she didn’t want another child. Respect yourself not to lay down with a man without protection. She knew she could get pregnant. The news is full of men cheating on their wives, beating their wives, having children outside thier marriages. Look at John Edwards his wife has cancer he cheated. She has the ring but is that respect.

Yes, I really did have a lot to say and you know what I said really was the truth. And it hurts me to my heart but until we accept that our black families are in crisis, its only going to get worse.I really don’t see the point that you were trying to make @aprl but I respect your opinion. I hate when I hear people say well its not your business because it is. When TI goes to jail, guess what? Our tax money is taking care of him while he’s in prison. What if the wrong hands were able to obtain those guns and someone innocent was on the receiving end? The image that TI,Tiny and others relay to the media is why FOX tried to joke that Michelle was Obama’s baby mama. Maybe Tiny needs to pick better mates. If her daughter’s father is in jail and TI is on his way to prison maybe she’s making the wrong choices in men. Children really do not need father’s in prison. Part of the reason marriage doesn’t last is because in this modern day era, it’s cool to just have babies and not marry. There is no attachment to the two. ESPECIALLY if the father is in the child’s life.
Marriage is ordained by God and it’s the whole package, due to this fallen world we live it’s not perfect however it’s more doable than our current society makes it out to be.
And I do say this as a single mom, thank God for redemption:) And nevertheless look forward to marrying one day and having more children in wedlock.

Kim you made my point even more strong with your commit that followed. If you don’t foresee yourself being with a person for the rest of your life why have multiple children with them?!?!?!?!!? Man I’ll even give you one baby but after that what’s the excuse? You know what it is?!?! NO MORLES OR VALUES! Just because it’s not the 40’s or 50’s does not mean that we are excused from have any morels or values. Man if you get married GOD not me but GOD say to stay married and gives you one reason that he will support you to leave. If he’s going to cheat just because you get married that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense because he is probably doing before anyway so why would you want to be with him and have babies by him if that’s how he’s going to treat you. i know im late wit this but whatever. i couldnt read all the posts but i skimmed through a few and im seein people are sayin she shouldnt have had all those kids and why doesnt he marry her. well out of all those kids 2 of them are his and hers together. he had 3 from a previous relationship and she had 1. so all that about her not havin respect and control in what she does is bull. know the facts before you say something. they were engaged once and after they lost their daughter SHE (not HE) broke up with him. then they decided to get back together. like so many people have said before marriage is not for everyone. and just because you marry someone does not garauntee they will stay together forever. i also agree with the fact that no one should get married just because they have a baby or get pregnant. that is ridiculous. honestly if i were to get pregnant and my boyfriend said “i think we should get married” i would say no. my first question would be “why, because we are goin 2 have a baby so you think it’s the right thing 2 do. i dont think so. you didnt want 2 marry me however long ago before we found out why all of a sudden now”.

@ notbuyingyou the point people are trying to make is she is good enough for him tom plant the seed but she isn’t good enough to be made an honorable woman. She’s almost 40 with 3 children and has yet to be married. She would have had 3 by him but they lost their little girl. My only question is how many more children does she have to have before he considers her good enough to wed? Not just speaking about her imagine in the public eye because our opinions reaslly don’t matter but what about her daughter. She’s going to think it’s ok to shack up with a man just because he’s rich and famous and have as many kids as he’s willing to make? That’s sad.
@shoneydip I agree with notbuyingyou because she didn’t break up with him, he said publically that it was a mutual decision. But that’s neither here nor there they broke up because he wasn’t willing to commit, so she says in the magazine article she did with s2s and they weren’t getting along. So all in all I agree with db above they should be married because of the views of her daughter she needs to set some type of example.
