ERIC BENET:PARENTHOOD HAS ITS CHALLENGES
Parenthood has its challengers for singer Eric Benet whose daughter is a teenager. The father who is a single parent(India mom’s died in 1993),says that “Parenthood has its challenges” because “India is now dating.” Take recently,for example,Eric was faced with the challenge of telling his daughter how he felt about one of her boyfriends:”Basically it was poetic justice because I was 16 before and my mind definitely wasn’t on the most honorable…” he says. “We talked and she made the choice herself but through parental openness. He got edited. He’s out of there!”
For the most part, Eric is enjoying his daughter who he says is a source of “joy and inspiration.” “She’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

I think Eric has really played his part in her life esp since her mom died from a car accident. His album really seems like he has healed from alot.
