RAIN PRYOR MISSED HER DAD DURING HER DAUGHTER’S BIRTH
It’s been three years, but Rain Pryor still mourns the death of her legendary father, comedian Richard Pryor. The mom to 5-month-old Lotus Marie says that she especially missed her dad during the birth of her daughter:”I can’t watch him on TV yet,” Pryor said. “If I see him, I well up . . . At the birth of my daughter, I cried because he was not here. She was born on April Fools’ Day. You know he was there. . . . I miss him terribly. I would love to talk to him about where we are in the world.”
When she is not busy being a mom, Rain performs her new jazz cabaret show titled “the Pryor Experience” at various theaters and clubs. The Pryor Experience is a chance for people to experience Rain as a musician as well as a comedian. Congratulations on you daughters birth, April Fools Day, smiles, yep your dad’s spirit was there. It’s very difficult when you experience the loss of a parent.
I lost my mother a little over a year ago to colon cancer (get tested early) and I can count on one had the day’s I haven’t cried since she’s been gone. It’s a challenging adjustment.
But, the tears are turning towards happier thoughts than the initial grief, anger and hurt.

That’s a cute photo. If I remember correctly Rain and her dad reconciled before his death so at least they were on good terms. Yeah I also believe the fact that her baby was born on April Fool’s Day is a sign that here dad was there.
