ACTRESS KIMBERLY ELISE AND DAUGHTER BUTTERFLY
Actress Kimberly Elise,whose first movie role was Set It Off (1996), is pictured with her daughter Butterfly,10, at the High School Musical 3 LA premiere. In all, Kimberly has two children with Ex husband Maurice Oldham:daughters AjaBleu,18 and Butterfly,10. Kimberly has said the following about her divorce to Maurice Oldham:
“I’m proud of our marriage and what we created,” she said. “I by no means feel as if we failed. There’s no shame. It just ended. And that’s a big difference. For me it was purely a spiritual necessity. When it’s being driven by something like that, there’s a great euphoria. There has been far more joy and happiness than tears and regret because I took the time to make sure it was the correct decision.”(Source)

Wonderful actress!! Equally great Mom!! For those who may not be aware, Kimberly and husband, Maurice Oldham, did indeed divorce, but he has also since passed away, May 2007.
