SINGER LYFE ARRESTED;MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN INVOLVED

Singer Lyfe Jennings was arrested on Sunday.According to sources,Lyfe went on a violent escapade after the mother of his two sons,Joy Pound.VIA MDJONLINE:
Atlanta-based R&B singer/songwriter Lyfe Jennings, whose real name is Chester Jennings, was arrested in Smyrna on Sunday on an array of charges after he went looking for the mother of his children, Joy Pound, police said.According to his warrant, Jennings, a 30-year-old Marietta resident, kicked in the door at a house on Springwoods Drive in Smyrna, belonging to Jeff Kendrick, then fired rounds from a .40 caliber Glock in the street.
Police located Jennings driving his 2005 Corvette. According to the warrant, he initially refused to stop for officers when given audible and visual signals to do so. The warrant says he drove in excess of 70 miles per hour on Concord Road, which has a posted speed limit of 40 mph.
Once stopped, Jennings also refused an alcohol and blood test, according to the warrant. He was booked into Cobb County Jail and charged with DUI test refusal, criminal trespassing and discharging a weapon near a street, all misdemeanors, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, both felonies. He posted a $50,000 bond Monday.
Jennings was convicted of murder in Ohio in 1992 and subsequently served 10 years in prison, according to the warrant.
In 2004, he released the album “Lyfe 268-192,” with the numbers representing his prison number. He gained notoriety with his single “Must Be Nice” from that album. According to his Web site, the album was hailed as “gritty and raw” and won critical acclaim, eventually selling more than one million copies worldwide. In 2006, he released his sophomore effort “The Phoenix,” which expanded on his life story.
Jennings, who has special conditions to his bond, was ordered to not drink alcohol or have any direct or indirect contact with Pound or Kendrick.
Lyfe and Joy Pound are the parents of two boys Phoenix 3 and Elijah 1.

Well geeeeeeeezzzzz…this was an earful. What about that ass woopin the police (obviously) gave him. They forgot to leave that out of the report…not that it wasn’t justified.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM? HE JUST SERVED 10YRS IN PRISON. IT’S NOT WORTH IT.
@ Katrina…Those cuts all over his face weren’t from the police beating him.
On the local news in ATL the cops & witnesses said, he attempted to flee the police in his car and lead them on a high speed chase… he ended up crashing into a guard rail or a tree (I don’t remember) and totaled his car. That’s why he looks so beat up.
Someone should have whopped his ass for going around acting a damn fool.
Wow would have never expected that from him. . SMH
But he claims he served ten years for arson not murder. Because his actions endangered lives but didnt take any.

What is wrong with him? He already spent 10 years in prison and he does something like this. Some people never learn.
i’m deeply disappointed. i respected him for learning from his mistakes and teaching other black men not to make his mistakes. he encouraged them to marry their baby mamas ect. even encouraging young females to stay virgins (till marriage) with that popular song he wrote. damn man. but human behavior is unpredictable. i pray for him and his family.

This is a man who has already spent the majority of adult life behind bars. I hope he gets the help needed to control his anger and make better choices moving forward. I wish a better life for his sons.
When I learned of this, I was in total awe and disbelief. Listening to his lyrics (in person and on CD), I never would’ve expected this type of behaviour from Lyfe but to Jackie’s point, “Human behaviour is unpredictable.” My heart goes out to him and his family (especially the kids).
