BOYZONE singer Shane Lynch has welcomed his first daughter, Billie Rae, with wife Sheena White.The star says 7lb Billie was born on Saturday night and is said to be doing “very well”.Shane, who is “over the moon”, and Sheena got married last August after a brief engagement - and the singer has made no secret of his desire to start a family.

After announcing Sheena was pregnant in June, Shane claimed he was too happy about the impending arrival to worry about how it would change his life.He said at the time: “I don’t feel nervous about it - I’m just very excited. I’ve wanted to be a dad since I was 20. It was all I ever wanted, and now it’s happening I couldn’t be happier.”

The 32-year-old singer also revealed his plans to have an idyllic family, adding he has always wanted lots of children.He said: “I have a dream of a house with a white picket fence and children running around. I’d definitely like more than one child, but that’s not up to me. We’ll have to see how the labour goes!”

Boyzone recently reunited and completed a comeback tour earlier this year.
