MALIA AND SASHA VISIT THEIR NEW HOME

Submitted by blackcelebritykids on November 19, 2008 at 3:20 pm 12 Comments

michellekiddiesconventionMalia and Sasha Obama got a tour of their new home yesterday. President Bush’s daughters, Jenna and Barbara Bush, gave the Obama girls a tour of the White House. While in DC, The mom-in-chief,Michelle Obama, along with her mother Marion Robinson, also took Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to check out a few schools. According to Katie McCormick Lelyveld, the spokesman for the incoming first lady, Michelle wanted to “…find the right fit. That’s the priority.” So far, rumors has it that the Obamas have visited three elite schools in particular:Georgetown Day school, Sidwell Friends, and Maret(friends of the Obamas already send their kids there),all of which will be suitable for fifth grader Malia and second-grader Sasha. The Obama girls currently attend The Lab school in Chicago, which costs $18,492 for a second-grader and $20,286 for a fifth-grade student. Sidwell charges $28,442 for the lower school and $29,440 for the upper school. The bill for Georgetown Day is $27,945.

The Obamas will move into the white house on January 20th and so will the girls’ grandmother, Marion Robinson.

I like the obama family. They are huge role models around the globe.

  • Dee2 says:

I hope people don’t try to get on the Obamas for paying so much for schooling their kids. Because people know if they had the money. They would do the same thing for their kids.

Nice people. Nothing wrong with trying to get the best education for your kids.

  • X says:

They are probably too smart to go to public school.

  • Teri says:

If I could afford it, I’d want the best education for my children as well. Who wouldn’t?

ebony are u crazy they r the presidents daughters they can’t go to no crack public school,at pulicschools the education there is bad but like me i go to a private school their standard is much better

  • BLssd says:

Actually, LILYPAFD, President Carter’s daughter went to public school. It was very hard for her, though, apparently. I would think that safety would be a huge concern at a public school rather than the kind of education they’d get. Obama as the president-elect apparently has the most threats than any other president-elect in our history. Sad to hear.

I think there is no other option but to send the girls to a private school. Public schools would be to open and the girls would be more prone to attack at one. Plus, can you imagine how people in the neighborhood at the public school would feel with snipers and CIA for an 8 block radius. It’s way safer and less disruptive for everyone for the girls to attend a private school.

Wow, I hate that those girls are going to have to move into the White House!! I heard that place was mad haunted! Bad vibes, demons, the whole nine! I don’t think they will get a peaceful night sleep in there. You couldn’t even get me to tour that place!

YAAAAY i Love the obamas! Some people go to public schools and turn out smart.
my cousin went to a public school and graduated valedictorian!!!
But if my parents had the money i would be going to private school.
Barack and Michelle should ask the girls what they want if they are not already.

  • Jeanette says:

look Lets not forget that Obama is now a president and for that matter he has some benefits.the kids are entitled to those benefits also and more prone to dander esp kidnapping etc.they need the best of everything esp education and tight security.Lets all be happy for the first family.in US and othere countries even in Africa, its not only the president and members of states/cabinet who give their children education in expensive private schools. So those who have problems with the first couples choice of schools should give as a break.
Lets not forget that private schools are not government owned and therefore do not get government sudsidy. They may also run more programmes than the government schools.
Presint Obama and Michelle, give your kids the best of all in life
