READERS REACT:WHY CAN’T WE CALL A CHILD UGLY?
Many BCK readers are upset that they have to censor their comments. BCK’s first ”comments rules” reads,
Please do not insult the celebrities on this site and especially the children of the celebrities.If you find that a child isn’t as attractive as you wish him to be,just bear with it.Therefore,instead of calling a child “ugly”,you could say,”that child has very unique features.” Bottom line,any negative comments will be deleted.
Some readers are extremely upset that they have been unable to speak their minds on the new site. “If a child is ugly, why can’t we say that the child is “ ugly?”
Readers, what are your opinions on the rules for this site? Should we get rid of them or do you feel that there is no need for someone to call a child “ugly”?

Suck it up people. If you want to be nasty with your comments, go to [other sites]. Keep some sites free from YouTube-style commenting. Just because you’re on the internet doesn’t mean you can say what you want. And remember, NOTHING is truly anonymous. BEHAVE yourselves.

As I grow older in my wise age, I feel that it isn’t appropriate to call anyone ugly, as God made us all. I refrain from talking about children, because I have yet to have any, and I strongly believe in karma. Children are the most innocent beings on earth, and should not be ridiculed because of their looks, no one is perfect, and they are all God’s children. Sorry to get all religious, but leave the rules

I do not believe that you should call someone else’s child ugly. You should do unto others as you would like them to do unto you. So if you don’t want someone calling you or your child ugly, dont call anybody else ugly. Calling a child ugly is especially wrong, as Lola said “Children are the most innocent beings on earth, and should not be ridiculed because of their looks, no one is perfect, and they are all God’s children.”

i kno sum ppl wont agree with me and i know sum will. its all about free speech to me. and when i first came to this site tht was the second thing tht attracted me. but i think tht the true is nobody will always be liked. nobody will always be beautiful in sumone else’s eyes. opinions r ppls opinions. i think everybody shud be allowed to say theirs. and i think it is everyone elses job to to disagree or agree with their opinion. but in the end ur opinion will always be ur opinion.
thats the only rule i dont like. i think we shud be able to express that opinion.

This is ridiculous. There shouldn’t have to be a rule; it should just be common sense. Children are innocent and any unflattering comments should not be allowed by ignorant “ADULTS” on this site toward anyone’s children.
It’s a shame that grown a** people should have to be told to be respectful towards children. To make such comments is just cruel, ignorant, and unkind. Sure it’s freedom of speech, but how would you feel if someone called your child ugly or made other cruel comments for the public and your family and friends to read? SMDH.

BCK thanks for having limits to what people can said on your site. The net has become a hateful mean place. People think its freedom of speech. But I think its people spreading hateful vibes all over this site and others. If you want to jump in the crap and spread hateful name calling go to JustJared, YouTube, and TMZ etc. You will find tons of “people” who call children all kinds of things.

I was wondering when the rules would be enforced I read the same rules the day that came here and thought that was great! On the other hand I find it totally necessary for BCK to sensor the comments being on display here… after all understand that the comments people leave here will be read by anyone including the child’s parents in some cases. To have negative and inappropriate comments would compromise the integrity of this site! people wouldn’t their kids pictures to be shown here…
people who have no self restraint as far as knowing when you should and should not say something now will have to deal with being censored lmao! there of plenty of hater sites you can find and join if you feel that bad that you cant pop ish from behind your pc screen anymore….

So according to those who wish to hide behind the first amendment or whatever human right law, I guess u don’t mind sites where people express that they wish to blow up the White house or assassinate ur president or kill all n*****s cos that’s what freedom of speech is all about… Or does it depend when it suits you.
