Erykah Badu and Jay Electronica have named their baby Mars Merkaba. Erykah says that “[Mars'] eyes are looking right into mine. she struggles to focus. I wonder where she just came from. I mean…her spirit…”
Singer Erykah Badu and her boyfriend Jay Electronica announced the birth of their daughter on Sunday(February 1) via twitter, a micro-blogging website. According to Badu’s Twitter page, she and beau Jay Electronica named ”the baby twitty milk.”
If confirmed, “Twitty Milk” will be Erykah’s third child and the the first for Jay Electronica. Erykah’s children Seven Sirius and Puma Rose are with rappers Andre 3000 of Outkast, and West Coast rapper the D.O.C, respectively.

It would seem she does not practice safe sex or perhaps a recollection/memory problem?….3 kids,……. 3 different men…..all “Rappers”……wow I wonder if she had any male figures in her life while growing up to keep her real & informed…..because obviously finding men that find you attractive and who tell you what you want to hear then get you pregnant is not getting the truth, its called “getting pregnant”. Anyway, children are a blessing from the Father so no negative vibes for her or him and certainly not the child, just commenting on the message these “stars” are sending our youth. Imagine growing up and all your siblings have different fathers….imagine the arguments in that house! Lastly, there is nothing cute about naming a child Twitty, is Erica fond of cartoons Tweety Bird? Or perhaps Conway Twitty’s music? Or Charles Dickens “Twas a night before Twismas” How twute…..twuly original name, or better yet tweally nice name…..God Bless Black America!

Okay, everybody make mistakes and bad choices. I don’t judge people. But right is right and wrong is wrong. I’m sorry but it is irresponsible for an adult woman to have 3 kids by 3 different men. It’s not a matter of if she can take care of the kids. I’m sure she can. But to manage a ‘scattered’ family like that is hard for the children and the parents. There are problems and issues that come with it. And for her to act as if it’s no problem at all is crazy to me. It’s not the worst thing in the world that could happen though. They will be okay. Anyway, having said all that, I wish her and her beau the best. Congrats! And please Lord let “Twitty Milk” just be a misunderstanding or a joke. Erykah, speak on it! Confirm the name already!

I have nothing against unsual names and I like the name Seven, Puma (wouldn’t name my baby that but it’s cool for her) but I don’t like Mars. Reminds me of the Mars Bar candy bar they use to have.

I actually like the name Seven. It’s biblical and comes from “seven days of spiritual completeness.” I can’t say the same about Mars or Puma but to each his own.
