he is right! he is only responsible for his! and how do you expect someone to be a role model for your kids because they are on television. he may be this bud-smoking, hardcore, rapping gangster as you all so vindictively try to put it, but where do your responsibilities come in if you leave your kids sittin in front of the tv, watching mtv, waiting for lil wayne to give them some advice. raise your own kids and stop hating because you cant bask in his fame and fortune. your evil and jealous. i hope you losers raise your own.

The sad part about this is that even after he has already told his fans that if you look up to somebody, you shouldn’t have been born, people still look up to him. The next day people are like” Oh man, Weezy didn’t sign up for this.Get off his back. It was the reporter’s fault” He’s in the spotlight. I’m not saying that it’s right that people look up to him, but I am saying that it’s true. Look how many people supported O.J. Simpson even though they know he did it. They are all like ” He was aquitted” Yeah…sure he’s innocent.Like it impossible to pretend that you’re having a hard time putting a glove on. Oh please. Anyway, I love Weezy’s music, but I’m know enough not to let that crap get to me or influence my decisions or my life. Be your own person and look for a role model who wants to be acknowledged for that.

I think many of you are underestimating today’s youth. There are young people who are able to distance Lil’ Wayne or any peoson with their own actions, goals, personality, etc. People who can’t do that are too young to be listening to his music or watching (even though they probably wouldn’t understand) his interviews and what not.
By saying what he did, Lil’ Wayne probably provoked people of all ages to take into consideration a differnt view on who a role model is and what a role model is. “If you need an example for how to live, then you just shouldn’t have been born.” I think he believes that too often people look at a persosn and try to be like them. Whether it’s in their best interest or not, people who do this aren’t giving their self a chance to independently structure their own morals and aspirations. Imagine how kids would develop into adulthood if something like the media didn’t exsist? I think Lil’ Wayne is saying be yourself, truly, and don’t change how you are because the person you look up to is how you want to be.

Granted, lil Wayne is a role model wether he set out to be or not. But that doesn’t change what he has done in his life thus far. He raps about what actually has occurred in his life. He can’t change who he is as a person simply because he has been put in the spotlight.

Lil’wayne clearly hasn’t matured, because if he had he would understand that being in the public eye (especially in entertainment) he is a role model, just like other entertainers and public figures will be role models for his children (unless he intends on them living in a bubble. I don’t understand his logic of people that should not be born if they need role models?? Why then state that he is a role model to his children?? Really sad. . .
