KIMORA, DJIMON AND THE KIDDIES OUT AND ABOUT

Wednesday, Feb 25 , 2009 1:13:pm by admin FILED UNDER Uncategorized

Kimora-Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou took the Simmons girls, Ming Lee,9, and Aoki Lee,6, to the Westfield Mall in Century City for some shopping fun on February 24th. Both Ming and Aoki wanted Djimon to carry them so Djimon took turns and carried them both! Click to see more pictures of the family.

It is just heart-warming to see that they get along with theyr’e soon to be step-father. And he treats them as if they were his own. I LOVE IT!! That is going to be one beautiful baby boy, with her asian features and his strong Zulu features.

I believe it’s okay to carry a kid as long as you can. Soon enough they’ll be too big to carry and have no choice but to walk on their own.

This is the first time I have seen them not walking. They were probably just playing.

They are too damn big to be carried! LOl its cute tho. Its good to see they love him like that. Y does Kimora Lees bump look a different size in every picture. Im surprised Kimora Lee let them go out not glamed up, I love to see kids look like normal kids and not camera ready all the time. Wild hair and everything, so cute!

They always look so happy, which is wonderful. And they all seem to be good-natured about all the cameras/ paparazzi stalking them, still manage to smile. May God continue to bless this family!

Okay, big fan of Kimora…but of course, these girls are way too old to be getting carried. They are lil girls not babies…both of them need to walk on their own two feet.

I don’t see anything wrong with him carring them that just shows you that they act like normal little girls and not grown up little girls. I loved when I was little and use to see my daddy downn the block and run and jump rigth into his arms the same age as Kimora’s daughter. I think this a well balanced blended family. God Bless. Let’s wait until they are teenagers its going to be a different story.

I think it’s great seeing him carry the girls. It shows that they aren’t trying to grow up too fast. How about leaving them alone and let them act like the children they are

I prefer when their hair is au-naturel and beautiful. I seldom straighten my hair for that reason.

Do her kids go to school? If so when and what time, they are either coming from the mall, walking the dogs, at a fashion show, I don’t know how it is in LA but down here in NY school is in session and BLAH I agree with you, I’m tired of seeing them too. They are cute but enough is enough.

I think she wants to show off that bump. Before you would see pictures of her and her kids about twice or three times a month. Now that she’s pregnant you can see pics of her family about two or three times a week. So aniyajae I agree with you, their own website of pictures wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I love seeing pictures of Aoki and Ming. No, I don’t believe they are too big to be carried. In this picture, it’s obvious that they are just having fun, and not being carried around like babies. This is absolutely the first picture where we have seen either girl being carried since they were small infants. Kimora gets pounced on a lot, but I’m glad to see that she has made a loving for her girls.

I think it’s great to see the girls getting close to Djimon. Not a lot of men will get close to kids that’s not theirs. And I don’t think the girls are being babies, just playing around. They are too cute & will be such great helpers when the new baby arrives.
    Kimora looks very happy!!

DJIMON will be a great father. Does anybody know why? Because he’s an African man!!!Alot of people are stereotypical about AFRICAN poeple. But I tell you this!! Most African fathers take good care of thier children and thier family is 1st priority!!! I think because of DJIMOS”S culture and background,He will be very different from the african American guy(Russel Simmons) Kimora Lee has been dating !! Believe what I’m saying and look closely @ Djimon in a few years !!!

    wow they have beautiful hair.
notice how she’s trying to cover her belly with one of the kids at all times lol (as if no one already knows she’s pregnant). does anyone know if they’re having a boy or girl yet? and how far along is she?

Natisha what do you know about Russell that I don’t lol? Your statement struck me as odd because I never heard anything bad about him. Care to elaborate?

Trina the baby is a boy.

Grenada girl, if you search for some of their photos you will see light hair sometimes and dark other times. I think it’s because of the ligting (making their hair lighter at times) and the whatever hair product that they use (making it appear darker).

Their hair isn’t colored, I don’t think- it looks like the sun has bleached the ends. This used to happen to my sisters every summer- their hair would turn reddish blonde at the ends, even though it’s typically black. My youngest sister’s head would even turn completely red, I swear- it looked like she dyed it, but it was the sun and chlorine from pools and whatnot that did it. I’m sure, with these kids being in LA, they are no strangers to sun/swimming.

And to the people complaining about them being carried- how often do you see these kids carried? Cmon!! This is the very first picture I’ve seen of that since Aoki turned 5 at least, it looks like they’re just playing around with him. Anyway, what’s wrong with him picking them up for 5 minutes?? You don’t stay small forever. You guys are always looking for bad things to say about this family- but in actuality, we all have NO idea what kind of mother Kimora is, or how the kids actually behave. A few pictures and some TV is nowhere near enough to determine what this family is actually like. THAT SAID, any time I have ever seen these two girls, they have seemed happy, loved and loving, and very very age-appropriate. They seem like such typical kids- Aoki’s a ham, and Ming’s a little more laid-back. And they look as though they LOVE each other. I don’t get tired of seeing them, they seem like very sweet kids- and they are nice to look at, beautiful kids. I hope Djimon makes a good father, as Russell seems to have to his two girls. Live and let live, may God continue to bless them.

I think he’s a great role model and an excellent father figure for those girls. The kids and Russell are usually on separate coasts so its glad to see that Djimon can step in an play that co-parenting role. Russell ain’t no dead beat though. He’s also a great dad when he’s with the girls. Kimora really hit the jack pot on this one. I lOVE Djimon!!!!

  • Natisha February 26, 2009 at 11:33 pm

Hey BLUE!!,this what I meant to say.Djimon was born in Benin of West Africa. In his country and traditionally, most men don’t practice child support or divorce as commonly known in the U.S. Because of the freedom in the U.S, most black people are in support of these practices. Therefore as a person like Djimon that is born, raised and used to the African society, it is rare that an African believes in child supportafter a break up.It would make him look BAD.For most African men, thier morals are if they started the PROBLEM then they must finish the PROBLEM!!!

@ Lioness It is what it is. Ming is to damn big for a Man who is not her Father to be carrying her. Sorry. I am not looking for something bad to say. I wish them well, The kids are cute. Kimora need to take some notes from Michelle Obama and keep these kids out of the public eye so much. They are always at some grown folks party or event. And Like I said a many times before Time my dear time.

  • Nigerian Wifey March 2, 2009 at 8:45 pm

As a wife to a Nigerian(10 long years!LOL), I can agree with Natisha. Their culture is to love and support their kids and family to the end. So unless Kimora picks up and moves to Tibet, there’s no leaving this man and getting the 40K a month that Russell kicks out. He’s going to be in this for the long hall. Also you won’t see that little boy out in the public eye like you see the girls. African men are very protective and private. So we shall see how this works for Ms. Fabulosity! Can’t wait to see the cutie!

I am such a huge fan of Dijimon. He is going to make an amazing father because he has already proven himself to Kimora and the girls. Who cares if he carries them, why is that so wrong?
