JADA PINKETT SMITH TO OPEN ANOTHER SCHOOL
According to various sources, actress Jada Pinkett Smith is planning to open a high school. Jada, who has two children with actor Will Smith, 10-year-old Jaden and eight-year-old Willow, says that she wants to build a companion to the elementary school she and Will Smith have already opened.
Last year, Will and Jada launched the New Village Leadership Academy, an elementary school in California for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Will has said in past interviews that he and Jada opened the elementary school after developing a home school program for their two children.
“We started home-schooling our children probably six years ago,” he said. “We found about eight or nine other parents that home-school, so we put them together. … There’s just very powerful educational concepts that we believe in, and we feel like ‘I want to design the system that revolutionizes public education.’ ” (People.com)

I knew that the Smith’s home-schooled, but I didn’t know that Willow and Jayden got to be with other kids. That was my dream lol… To be home-schooled with my friends.
Im sorry but the smiths think they are Almighty we dont need anymore scientology schools
I don’t like anything about the church of scientology, I have been looking into it because everytime I turn around some celebrity is into it, I do not get the draw. *smh*
Well good for them I guess!
The church of scientology is trying to take over the world just like Will Smith stop forcing you spawn on us in movies
i dont know if im missing anything but i didnt read anything in here about scientology… so just wondering where everyone is getting that from.
Bunny, Will and Jadas other school uses “study technology” which was invented by Scientology founder J.L. Hubbard and they also have teachers who are Scientologist’s (not sure of the exact number).
While I disagree with Scientology, alien Xenu, auditing, thetans and other Scientology craziness, I see nothing wrong with Will and Jadas school. The only thing in the curriculum that has anything to do with Scientology is “study technology” and you don’t have to be a Scientologist or convert to learn it. It’s simply a technique founded by J.L. Hubbard (Scientology inventor) that teaches you how to learn/retain information.
I don’t think that the purpose of this school is to brainwash children and start the next generation of Scientologists. MOO
L. Ron Hubbard is the inventor of this religion. It’s a bunch of hoo-ha.
When did they join the church of scientology?
*typo should say L. Ron Hubbard
Joy they never joined the church and deny being Scientologists.
They praise the religion and teach it. I guarantee you they are apart of it
They don’t teach it.
It is apart of there school and in the curriculum so I guess they do teach it
I’m all for homeschooling, I think it’s a lost form in the US.
But if this is another Church of Scientology project, I’ll definitely pass.
Generally speaking, if one does not have concrete supporting evidence and information, one should not take liberties to make statements that can only be viewed as ignorant. Learning about anything, even if it is Scientology, just means that a person is seeking knowledge. It does not mean they are followers or they are trying to promote the concept. Not everything about something may be objectionable.
I think the Smiths would be ‘fearless’ enough to state categorically they are Scientologists. They have not and therefore no one can say definitively that they are. I see no evidence that they are. Many parts of our public school system is broken and I think it is commendable that the Smiths are opening schools instead of bars and restaurants. This tells me they are taking a pro-active approach to their children’s education. What is there to hate about this?
Ash, as you seem to know the Smiths personally, then I guess I must respect what you are so adamant about. I didn’t know that the people they socialize with actually wrote about them on the boards. You seem to be so sure about what they teach. Have you seen the school’s curriculum? Is your child a pupil at the school? Do you teach there yourself? Hope you didn’t hurt yourself jumping to the conclusions you made.
Here’s some info about the “Study Tech” the Smiths say they intend to use in their new school. The following is a quote from an essay by Dr. David S. Touretzky. He’s a member of the Computer Science Department & Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition, Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh, PA.
“According to the Study Tech materials, a single misunderstood word can cause a person to not remember anything on the page they just read, or make them want to stop studying the subject altogether (Learning How to Learn, p. 116; Basic Study Manual, pp. 58-59). The books also teach that misunderstood words cause physical symptoms: feeling blank, tired, worried, upset, “like you are not there”, or suffering “a sort of nervous hysteria” (Learning How to Learn, pp. 110-112; Basic Study Manual, pp. 50-52.) The reason for these symptoms is not explained but the answer lies in other Scientology doctrines not included in the “secularized” version of Study Tech (more on this later).”

Is this how you want your kids to learn? I should hope not. It’s absolute lunacy.
He is not even a Scientologist.
Just because he is close friends with Tom, does NOT mean he is in scienctology.

Stop accusing whatever.
Also, is he WAS a scientologist, it doesn’t matter. Scientology and Christianity and any other religions are just as ridiculous as the other!
