KEKE PALMER UPFRONT AND PERSONAL

Submitted by admin on March 13, 2009 at 10:56 am 17 Comments

kekeupfrontPictured: Keke Palmer attended the Nickelodeon Upfront Presentation at the Hammerstein Ballroom on March 12, 2009 in New York City. Recently the True VP star sat down with Seventeen magazine to discuss her beauty secrets and her clothing style.

17: How would you say your style is different from your character True’s?

Keke Palmer: She’s a little more preppy and I am a little more edgy than her. She would wear stuff from Tori Burch, Marc Jacobs, Armani Exchange. I like Balmain, Brian Reyes, Camilla and Marc, Joie, and J Brand jeans.

17: What was your biggest splurge item ever?

KR: I like True Religion jeans, and they’re all around $220 to $230. One time I bought a guy pair of True Religion jeans and wore them, a little bit baggy, but cute at the same time. I also love J Brand’s stitching, it’s perfect with any outfit. With J Brand, the quality is good, so you’re getting what you pay for.

17: What do you wear to feel hot on the red carpet?

KR: I never try to be too sexy. People know when you’re not comfortable and trying to be sexy. I always try to do an outfit that is cute but sweet and shows my figure so that it looks my age.

17: What are your three go-to beauty products?

KR: This really cool Maybelline mascara that comes in a crystal red-and-green bottle. My Lip Smackers chapstick. It leaves a little tint. You don’t need to put any lip gloss over it. I also use a MAC lip gloss. I’m all about blending, and with MAC, you can make any color work.

17: What’s your best hair tip or secret?

KR: I don’t curl my hair. In fact, I don’t know how to. What I do [after a professional] curls my hair, I twist it and pin it down at night. When I wake up in the morning, I shake it and I can keep the same curls. It really works!
