WOW…I almost missed this post. I am so proud of Lil Romeo. Everything he said is 100% true! College isn’t easy even if you’re wealthy so hopefully he will stick it out. He’s an definitely an inspiration.

Someone said it perfectly earlier….how REFREASHING it is to see a young BLACK man putting his education FIRST: and seeing that reaching for CEO of a Fortune 500 company is just as prestigious (if not MORE so) than reaching for a shot at the NBA. Great job,parents!!

As a teacher, I feel 10 feet tall after reading this story. Of the few kids I’ve encountered who see education as important, only view it as a means to the end - lots of money. It is very refreshing to see that Lil Romeo and his parents see the BIG picture.
