There was no Information Highway except the Library. A Parent today has to be much more than just a diciplinarian, we have to be a mom, dad, teacher, preacher, provider, policeman, social worker, fashion expert, counselor, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa, and all "it's" in between. Most Importantly, we have to know that being a Parent is what we really want to be. In today's society, being a Parent, is not an easy task. As Parents we must teach our sons and daughters, that a child is a representation of our future, and if we are picking the wrong mates to reproduce with we are not giving our progeny a fighting chance. As in the Animal Kingdom, the female always chooses the strongest male to mate with, for she knows the struggles her offspring will encounter to survive. This is what we must teach our children. Only the strong survives in this world. Give them a fighting chance. Teach our daughters,that all that glitters is not GOLD!!. Teach our sons, the meaning of what it is to be a MAN!! There are enough males walking around. This is what I have learned from being a Parent.
