Comments are crazy…someone stated to keep the harmony of the photo…..similar complexion…BS! How many women of darker hues have light children and lighter hue women with darker children…lets make sense people! Of course if u are going to portray someone one in a photo, movie etc.. u would think the cast would look like the person you are trying to portray that includes complexion, skin tone etc…The Obama girls are clearly brown skin and so is first lady obama….and yes this is in Glamour magazine…my point exactly Paula Patton is portraying Billie Holiday and not (lets just throw a name out there celeb singer of a darker hue) Kelly Rowland…It is Glamour…Glamourize and Glorify All the Hues of the African American race! The pics are nice and stylish:)

I am light skinned and I do not agree with Alicia Keys being used in this picture. Where is Sanaa Lathan, Gabrielle Union, or Viola Davis?

I see nothing wrong here. They are both beautiful and powerful women. The magazine used celebrities to pose as icons. I think Alicia was a fitting choice. Tyra doesn’t look that much like Michelle either, but those photos were gorgeous too!
