I'm bi-racial and so are my kids. In my early childhood I grew up in a mixed community, then we move to a middle class all black community. I never felt complete in school or totally accepted. Most of the people I feel more comfortable with are multi-racial people. Some things black , white or Hispanic don't get. As I got older I understander why because they are on the outside looking in. Certain things only other multi-racial or bi-racial people get. I believe if you spoke to Halle one on one she would feel that she is bi-racial not black. Even as an adult some black and whites has the same closed mind as they did when they were children. Most of the time people feel complete with they are with people that they are alike. Both of my kids are in bi-racial relationships due to that was the norm for them and that where they feel complete. I am one of those mix people that people have always had to ask the question " what are you" , I would then answer wolf and husky. Being bi-racial is not a choice , it’s a fact. I feel as if I aged 5 years and I don't think I'll ever feel (or look) as youthful again unless I just go on a drastic health kick!
