MEL B BANS KIDS FROM WATCHING HER BURLESQUE SHOW

Singer Melanie Brown(Mel B) has banned her children from watching her new burlesques show. The former Spice Girl is heating up Vegas with a peep show that some have termed “raunchy”.

Mel agrees that the Las Vegas cabaret production is indeed too raunchy for her daughters – 10-year-old Phoenix and Angel Iris, two, and her bonus daughter Giselle,4, who she raises with her husband Stephen Belafonte.

Mel said to Closer magazine recently, “I am thrilled with the finished ‘Peepshow’ product – all the rehearsals have paid off and it is an amazing show. But there are three people who won’t be seeing the production – Phoenix, Angel and Giselle!”

“The show is quite saucy in parts and there are some scenes that are unsuitable for children.”

Unsuitable perhaps because the working mom  wears a series of revealing outfits in the show.

Well she needs to stop doing the shows! Obviously there’s some guilt there. The kids are gonna see it one way or another.

Even if she bans them they will still see the show eventually. GOOD MOTHERS DON’T STRIP OR DO BURLESQUE. Mel is not strapped for cash, so she cannot use that as an excuse, either. She is a publicity hound and will do anything for attention, no matter how classless it is. I have said this from day one of her saga with Eddie Murphy.

LOL the show is called “Peepshow” the name itself is suggestive.
My motto is, “Never do what you can’t explain to your kids” (or atleast provide reasoning for why you’re doing it)
Mel B is beautiful and was my favorite Spice Girl, but when you have children you have to constantly consider how they perceive you and if you’re committing double standards (ie, “Do as I say and not as I do”)

I agree with everyone up top. We are our children’s example and if you have to hid what you do, it might not be something you want to do. I’m not judging Mel, but just saying.

She is a bad mother because she is doing a burlesques show? Really? So the fact that she is raising two seemingly normal, well taken care of,unspoiled children is completely erased.Okay.

i agree, we all have sex but we don’t tell our kids about it… until they old enough..
thats wat she means they not old enough to understand YET..
it don’t mean wat she doin is wrong, or guilt worthy, we all do stuff we don’t, and shouldn’t have to explain to children thats why we keep children from certain things.
she can explain wen they older, an i didn’t see no naked pics, its not exactly strippin
anyone who say good mothers don’t do this an that don’t kno wat they talkin bout there loadsa good mothers out there doin all typa different things an still bringin up clever, well mannered, well rounded kids

You all are being ridiculous. Why are mothers always so judged? She is an adult, her children are not at the shows, she is performing. Nothing about what she is doing makes her a bad mother.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. First of all her children probably won’t see it because most kids have no interest in seeing their parents be sexual but even if they do – so what? I saw my mother naked all the time. It’s not a big deal. As for the raunchiness of it, parents are the worst advertisements for parenting. She’s a grown up and she’s free to do anything legal. EVERYTHING she does doesn’t have to be for her children’s approval. A certain level of raunchiness is what got them here on this earth to begin with. People need to lighten up!

Well if my mother was doing that, I wouldn’t wanna see it too… and I’m 18. It may be questionable to some but I don’t think it automatically makes her a ‘bad mother’. She can explain when the kids are in their teens, not when they’re 10, 4 and 18 months ???
It’s like with Katie Price, her profession may be dubious to some but that doesnt take away the fact that she’s a good mum to her kids especially Harvey.

I think she looks amazin and if I have a body like that at her age I will definitely flaunt it. She’s had 2 children and she looks like that? You go girl. I don’t think she’s a bad mother and now is not the time to explain it. Most people don’t even talk about “normal” jobs to their children when they are so young, much less being an entertainer.

wow some of you are harsh, what ever a mother choses to do in her career doesnt show how good a mother is. she can keep her performance and her chilren seperate until they are old enough. otherwise you can say most actresses and singers are bad mothers because they o some sexual things in their erformance. i mean there is sex on tv, so just because you have sex does that mean that u can let your young kids watch it on tv because they are going to see it anyway?? no, you keep it seerte until they are old enough or mature enough or until they can handle it. its all about protecting your kids, thast what makes a mother.
