We are so excited!! I also have a daughter from China and she can't wait to become a big sis. Teri- I wish we could have adopted from here as well but the system makes it too difficult. Even if we went the private route, I didn't want to have to wait to be "chosen" by a birth mother. Internation was the right decision for our family. Thank-you Blue!! We are so excited!! I'm not saying there's anything wrong with adopting from overseas because when you want a child, it doesn't matter where he/she comes from AND every child regardless of nationality needs love and a caring home; however, there are hundreds, if not thousands of wonderful children on our soil that desire homes, especially children of color (except maybe Asian). I wish she would adopt from a country where she could comply with the rules. There are literrally millions of orphans needing loving homes and families. I have a beautiful baby coming from Ethiopia and I complied to all the rules and my petition was granted. Had I not been able to comply, I would have chosen a country whose laws suited me. I didn't expect special favor and neither should Madonna. She has so much to offer a child in need. I wish she would adopt from a country where she could comply with the rules.
