***Don’t forget to watch the entire video-Isaiah is quite the character***

isaiah-and-brother

Six-year-old Isaiah Suliman Chevrier is a prodigy of the Djembe drums. Isaiah first started playing the traditional West African drums when he was just ten months old. Ever since then, Isaiah has been fine tuning his skills, even finding time to teach his four-year-old brother Abdoulaye (pictured)

Although Isaiah was born in the United States, he  and his family live in Bamako, Mali in West Africa.  This is what Isaiah ’s dad has to say about his family: “We are a mixed African and American family who live in Bamako for the love of Malian culture and life. We speak a mix of languages in our home – mostly we speak English, Bamana, French and Krio.”
