I don’t think open-toed sandals are safe for little ones toes, they can easily scrape their toes when they are first learning to walk. Do any other moms think this is true?
Rachel, I have to respectfully disagree. Many sandals for first walkers are open-toed, but also ergonomically designed with child’s safety/ comfort in mind. And notice that Nahla’s little toes are not hanging over the edge, but are rather safely nestled in the sandals.
Both of my daughters wore similar shoes at that age, and there were never any problems or injuries.
She just turned one? She is going to be a tall young lady isn’t she, not petite like little Halle.

Wow! They are both stunners! Nice to read mainly positive comments, and not borderline racist and mean spirited comments about kiddies of mixed-ethnic heritage. Like on [some other site]. Someone always mentions the childs skin tone and hair texture. And they ALWAYS say that the child’s skin tone is exactly like the African American parent, and never the non AA parent! Even though the childs complextion almost always lands somewhere in between the two parents. Often times, closer to the white(?) parent. But most non-blacks never seem to notice or mention that fact. I think it’s inate-racism and ignorance.

Oh no Torre Troll, the whites and the blacks never mention the child’s color and hair, only the.. troll does that because it angers her to see white/black couples. I think black people know who our true enemies are when a troll tries to pitt black & white against each other but it won’t work because too many of us have heard about you honey.
I have to tell you all Angela is right! It is not white people doing this, this Torre person is constantly on Black & White blogs ranting first about us, then about whites. But we are moving ahead into a brighter future and every advancement we as a people make will infuriate those who have not made it yet in this country. It is amazing that the …troll who constantly maligns Black people can think we won’t notice this pattern. Just beware because Angela is 100% correct and one day she will prove this. It takes time.

I do not rant on on blogs about racial issues…. often! I have however been on another celebrity site, and asked that people be more open-minded about bi-racial people and racial issues. You two need to RE-READ MY COMMENTS, and maybe you’ll understand what I really meant.
P.s. I’m a black female married to a white male, with a bi-racial child who’s ethnic features fall somewhere in between my husband and myself. THERE WAS NO NEGATIVITY IN MY FIRST STATEMENTS, NOR ARE THERE ANY IN THIS ONE!

Yeah, CRE8ME, I would agree that in this photo shoe definatly does have a suspicious bump, and I also think she looks pregnant, but I just saw a photo of she and Gabriel taken yesterday while out shopping, and she’s wearing tight jeans and a tight tube top, and her tummy looks completly flat. So she’s probably not pregnant…yet! However. She looks spectacular! And Gabriel is a Gorgeous Canadian stud…..just like my Canadian hubby.

I won’t directly respond to this person again, but I can assure you readers that there is a vicious person who is neither black nor white, who trolls the internet consistently making defaming comments about black, biracial children. She proclaims free speech when her racism is confronted and believes she has free reign to malign black and biracial couples, but objects when she is called out for it. Think Lala Vasquez when you read comments by this troll because she is of that persuasion. However, she is nothing like Ms. Vasquez(whom I have respect for) mentally, just physically. Now, I say she is not black American (in culture and what not) regardless of her brown skin appearance, and anyone seeing her would automatically assume she was. Just be forewarned as to the ethnicity of this person whenever you encounter her racist ravings on this and other blogs. This is not the 1940’s and no American black nor white is going to stand idly by while a member of a group that does little for this country, tries to drive a wedge between us.

Sometimes Halle looks preggers and sometimes she doesn’t so I’m not sure yet. I hope she is because Nahla needs a brother or sister.

I can feel for Halle. The paparazzi are a bunch of insensative vultures who go to any means to get pictures.Entertainers are not on call 24/7 they also have lives and its no wonder the Hollywood moms hate them and look daggers at them. I am waiting for the first parent to freak out at the photogs ( who then have the audacity to sue!!!).
I don’t think Halle is pregnant but she makes beautiful babies so if I were her I’d make at least three! Little Nahla is beautiful like her mommy. I’m half white and half mexican. Mixed kids are soooo cute. My baby girl is exactly the same age as Nahla and nowhere near her size. I think Nahla will be tall.
