Singer Mashonda wants an increase in child support payments from her ex-husband Swizz Beatz a.k.a Kasseem Dean . Mashonda, who filed for divorce from Swizz in 2009, says that her monthly child support payments of $3,500 , a decrease from $5,000 a week($20,000/month), is not sufficient enough to support their two-year-old son Kassem jr.
Producer Swizz Beatz and his attorney are ready to battle it out in court with the singer. Swizz’ attorney Dan Rottenstreich says that Swizz was giving Mashonda $5,000 a week but ”his advisers felt that was too much, so now he pays her $3,500 a month, on top of the bills. ”
“Swizz has put settlement offers on the table, but Mashonda won’t say what she needs. She just came back from Paris and London. She drives a Bentley Flying Spur and a Cadillac Escalade. I don’t think life’s too bad for her.” Beatz’s lawyer, Dan Rottenstreich, adds: “He’s taken care of her and his son above and beyond what’s required.”

$5,000 a week. That is a lot of money. What more does that child need than just to have food, clothes, health insurance, shelter, doctor’s appointment, daycare, school. Other women are fighting just to get $300 a month for their child or children. Some women need to be grateful. Should be glad that he’s willing to pay something.

Everyone’s saying “get the paper” get what you can….but for who?….the child or the Mother? If for both, she needs to concentrate on that baby, and then put some aside for a rainy day for herself just in case the worst happens.
What I mean by that is that he can become incapacitated or worse, and no longer bringing in the big bucks or the residuals. Especially if she is not planning on contributing anything to keep the lifestyle going…..just soley depending on him.
Totally unecessary to live the high life when a far more comfortable life will do. Do you need an Escalade or Benz, or can you live with a GMC truck or a Maxima?

Swizz gets royalties and publishing off of the sale of 26 million albums he has produced for everyone and she was the one writing and singing all those jungle hooks that went with all his beats. She read text messages and saw suspicious credit card activity during the time he was with AK He was still living with and sleeping with Mashonda.He had just threw Mashonda a big 30 th party a month before she bust hiss cheating [butt]. Sorry, but if a husband left me with a child to raise full-time alone while he chilled with Alicia Keys, he’d be paying a lot more. They were together for many years prior to getting married. She isn’t being greedy, she’s being spiteful. This girl is hurt, why and what the REAL deal is their business. What she thought was a life-long ride got cut short and then Swiss’ new woman is a phenomenon. Her pride is hurt, her feelings are hurt and she’s upset and confused. She thinks this will hurt him but he seems to be properly protected by his lawyer and ease of spitefulness will shortly come to a stop. Sad to say, when people don’t part respectfully, on a collective basis, this is what usually happened, the other does whatever they think will make the other feel the pain that they have been forced to feel but it isn’t equitable and they don’t find out until energy of hate has been wasted.
