The Pauletta and Denzel Washington Family Gifted Scholars Program is an educational opportunity offered to eligible undergraduates, graduates and medical students pursuing training in the field of neuroscience. Every year a member or members of the Washington family presents an award in the amount of $2,000/month for one undergraduate and $2,500/month for one graduate or medical student. This year, Denzel Washington and wife Pauletta Washington attended presented awards at the the 6th annual Pauletta and Denzel Washington Family Gifted Scholars in Neuroscience Awards on May 20, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.
