ET sat down this week with film star Eddie Murphy and his tiny co-star Yara Shahidi to talk about their latest family comedy Imagine That. In the film, Eddie’s character, Evan Danielson, stars as a financial executive who works constantly and has no time for his seven -year-old daughter(Yara Shahidi). Through a magical blanket, however, the father and daughter team are brought together.

I was going to say the same thing. That’s like supporting R. Kelly after finding out he likes sleeping with minors. Eddie is funny & Kelly makes good music but wrong is wrong & I won’t support crazyness.
I lost a lot of respect for him. What type of fling/relationship they had, doesn’t concern me. They made that child (together), so both need to deal with her. I feel once he found out she was pregnant, he quickly jumped into a relationship with Tracy. That mess looked so staged. Sorry sweetie, jumping ship doesn’t make a baby go away.
I don’t want to hear crap about we all make mistakes (which we do). But I expect this from a 20 something year old, still wet behind the ears. Not a seasoned individual, that I’m sure has made plenty of mistakes to know better.
Eddie should be ashamed of himself and what studio investor that it was a good idea to cast an actor who has made it public knowledge that he wants nothing to do with his little girl make a movie about a father and daughter. Maybe Mel B should put Angle in a movie and then she can meet her father.
Boo Eddie, how you gonna do your youngest daughter like that, I hope he makes and effort to form a relationship with her when she’s old enough to understand and start asking questions.
I liked him better in the 80″s, now he just comes off like a pompous jerk in interviews.
I will never support Eddie until he steps up and acts like a father in REAL LIFE. Has he ever seen his youngest daughter? What a Loser! It’s a shame because he’s a talented guy.
yara is sooo sweet, i love her, i’m gonna watch it for her i think shes so talented an he’s right wen he says look out for her in years to come. i do agree with all the comments already posted about him though, its a damn shame cos he is funny an i used to like him a lot.
This dude is so wack, I wonder why the film company would hire an actor who doesnt acknowledge his own daughter for a movie like this. I just dont get it…..

I agree with all the comments posted before me. I was in a similar situation myself so I know exactly how Mel B. feels…f*ck him years from now he’ll regret it.

Yara is a cute little girl, Eddie is to !!!! for me. He needs to go back to the hood and learn how to be a MAN again. Hollweired has gotten into him.
How come nobody comments on how Mel B Caught Eddie. She basically made her self pregnant to keep him and his money. I will agree that if a girl does trick you and has your child, you already lost, so might as well make the best of it instead playing sore loser.

Mel B - ‘Ofcourse Eddie, what is it?’
Eddie - ‘Are you on some kinda birth control? I don’t do condoms, they don’t make them small…um.. I mean big enough… for me. Plus I’m allergic to plastic.’
Mel B ‘You’re allergic to plastic??’
Eddie - ‘Yes. It’s an allergy I musta caught from Johnnie… er.. I mean Tracy. It’s a contagious allergy to condoms I got and they make me break out down there.’
Mel B - ‘Well don’t worry Eddie. I have a diaphram. We are good.’
7 months later…..
Mel B - ‘Eddie I’m pregnant!’
Eddie - ‘what the F…? It ain’t mine! You know you wasn’t nuthin but a ho! Why you tryna trap me Mel? You cain’t have none of my money B!
Mel B’ - That’s OK! If you weren’t allergic to the condoms you got from JOHNNIE or that tranny, we wouldn’t be in this situation! It’s yours and I’m taking you on Maury!’

I aint heard nothing on why they abruptly broke up. People keep saying it’s because he’s really gay and he was using her as a cover up.
