Grammy-winning singer/rapper MCHammer has a new reality series which premieres this Sunday on June 14th on A&E. The reality series titled “Hammertime” will feature Hammer, his six kids(his five kids and his nephew), and his wife. On Wednesday(June 10th), McHammer appeared with his 11-year-old son Jeremiah on the Today show with Kathie Lee and Hoda to promote their new television series.

-Kathie Lee Embarrasses MC Hammer in front of his son.
Awwwww! But why does Hammer think his kid doesn’t know about how bad a fall he took in the late 90s. This is the age of the Internet!
Jeremiah is a cutie pie. Kathie Lee really irk my nerves.
That was tacky to make that statement. What if Hammer brought up her husband’s infidelity in front of her children? She has no class.

Absolutely love the father-son relationship here! Hammer seems like an awesome father and respectable man. It makes me smile to see such a positive male role model in a young man’s life. Keep up the good work, Hammer. Way to handle yourself, and your son.
In Kathy’s defense, she is not the producer of that show and they are the ones who provides the questions. She is not Oprah or Dr. Phil (actual talk show hosts who can ask what they feel) and she did seem embarrassed and apologized.
BTW, I hate her personality but I give credit when it’s due.
I love the way MC Hammer handled Kathy, And put her in her place, Most dummies would have played into her bringing up his past. That was not the time or place. And like someone said how would she like someone to bring up her husband cheating on her and it being on video tape. Hammer had been a father to his children and stayed married to his wife through all of this. He made some mistakes and he was not perfect. This is only a small taste of what is to come if his son decides to get into show business. I hope he listens to his parents and always respect them. I will watch the show, We need to see more positive BLACK FAMILIES RAISING THEIR KIDS.
WAIT! I guess I can say sorry to Kathy Lee, She actually said SORRY to MC Hammer I said something I should not have said. If you noticed she was only doing her job and reading from her cue cards. I give her a little respect for coming back and correcting herself.
@ Virgie I am sure Hammer child may know he hears it at school. But it was not classy for her to mention it in front of his son. Damn, the media tears the black man down as it is on t.v and the new, And some of it is our own black men fault. But don’t try to bring up the mans past in front of his child.

@ Hannaboo, He said in a nice way That is not something you bring up or say to a ten year old. Then Kathy corrected Hammer and said he is 11, Hammer said yeah, but that was 1996. In other words his son was a baby. And in a nice way Hammer just corrected her for trying to bring that up in front of his son. Hammer told her his son has no idea about what you are talking about. Not in that order, but that’s all you missed. It was a short interview. And his song sang the fist bar of Kanye West Heart break song and he danced a little with the crew.

I love Hammer, but I am disappointed that he was so rude. I mean, come on… Everybody knows yo a$$ spent all the money. Are you trying to perpetrate in front of your kid? He’s 10 for goodness’ sake, he’s not 5! What a loser. I love Kathy Lee and both of the ladies were sweet, welcoming, and complimentary. They could’ve dissed his played out self. He shoulda been happy that somebody gave his kid all those compliments and allowed him to get some tv time singing. Are you kidding me? Hammer embarrased about losing all that money? I used to like him, I’m done. Ugh. Yuk! No more watching him on TBN either.
hammer shoulda asked kathie if them sweatshops was still up and running…
