Ditto! To you both! I’m also very happy for the little girl. She’ll be presented with countless opportunities, an A1 education, and most importantly, she made it out of that reported “HELL HOLE”!

I only hope that Maddona will HIRE AT LEAST 1 AFRICAN AMERICAN NANNY TO ASSIST IN THE RAISING OF ALL HER CHILDREN! Just like I feel that Brad & Angelina should hire AA & asian descent nannies for their brood as well. Mary-Louise Parker (WEEDS) hired one.

Otherwise…. congratulations you Ms. M. and her growing family.

P.s. Your’re right….I’ve heard nothing about any AA celebs adopting any “full-black” children either.

I am black AND I have TWO adopted kids!! It is still wrong how she went about this. Once you have adopted yourselves and followed the rules and laws,come back and tell me how fair it is that she gets to go and just buy this child. They put you through the ringer to adopt domestically and internationally. Celebrities should go through the same procedure. I am however happy for any child to find a loving home.

I completely agree with Nelly and Noya…I am Africa, living in Africa and can’t explain how happy I am that the Malawian courts realized what an opportunity they would have denied that child. Madonna is going to change that little child’s life…we need more people like her…

You took the words right out of my mouth! Folks love to hate on Madonna and all the celebrities who are adopting Black kids, as if they are doing anything to help these kids. Puleezz! Can anyone name one Black celebrity that has adopted an African child (excluding Oprah and her school for girls)? It’s a shame that’s what it is. Get over yourselves and instead of criticizing, do something to help these kids!!

You’re right but there is nothing we can do about it. Hopefully Mercy will bond well with her new family and live a great life.

Madonna has turned so many people off with the way she handled this adoption. Maybe things will change because of all the exposure.

Congratulations…these children that are adopted by celebrities are so lucky..truly blessed to be given such an opportunity. I can only hope that they are taught their culture and grow up to be good citizens and give back to the communities they came from.
