TYRESE GIBSON TALKS ABOUT DIVORCE AND HIS DAUGHTER SHAYLA

Singer Tyrese misses being married. While at his friends Mariah and Nick Cannon’s wedding anniversary party in April, Tyrese realized that he misses “that feeling of just having someone.”
“I miss being married. I missed that feeling of just having someone to call my own. Even though there are lot of random things running around, you still want that solid foundation at home. So I just had a moment when I seen them hitting glasses and toasting…I just had a moment like, ‘Damn.’”
Tyrese filed for divorce from his wife of ten months, Norma Mitchell, last October. He says of his divorce, “I filed for divorce. I’m not perfect. I’ve made some major mistakes in the past and she has too. Sometimes marriages just don’t work out.”
Through all the hardships, Tyrese has made sure to maintain a relationship with his daughter Shayla. He says that his personal conflict with his Ex won’t keep him from being a father to his daughter.
“There’s gonna be moments where the energy is funky and uncomfortable, but do your part,” Tyrese argues. “There’s a lot of people in your life that you do not necessarily get along with or are not on the same page with, and you’re still in their life. So do what you have to do so that you can do what you want to do, which is spend time with your child.”
That baby looks absolutely nothing like him!

His daughter is cute, I bought that magazine for my son to read, I think this man is handsome. I just have a personal problem that he took that beautiful black skin GOD gave him flawless. And destroyed it when he put that mess all over his arms. WHY! Who told him that looks good. on the magazine cover he look like a million bucks. They did not show that mess. It would have down graded the cover. How can anyone see beauty in his arms with that black ink on black skin. Please tell me.

I agree. Tatoos are usually ugly, unless they’re done by some MASTER tatoo artist and not Lenny down the block. When I watch NBA games and see almost every single man inked up, the guys who catch my eye are tatoo-free. Nothing wrong with natural.

I can appreciate that! I am just a deep thinker so I reflected on your comment. ” I think his tats are sexy”. To each his own. My friend said her son wanted to get a tat on his body, she said it better be in a place where I can’t see it. Now that would be sexy between him and the lady of his choice. I am so glad that my three year old looks at the TV and says Mommie look at that man body he got a tattoo and it’s ugly. Out of the mouths of babbies. Now if I can just keep that in him when he is older I will not have a child who looks like Dennis Rodman or arms like Tyrese.

The day my son was born, My love for him was unconditional. There’s a song call If, If I could. Well I can’t live my sons life and I will not try to live my sons life. SO he will make his own choices and some I will agreee with and some I will not. Like I don’t agree with the Tat on Tyrese arms. That’s me. And I hate to burst your bubble, Although my son does repeat the positive comments tha are spoken in our home, He came up with that on his own. I don’t use the word ugly in front of him. Cartoons do that. But if my son were to mark his arms up like Tyrese, I would tell him he same thing. And move on. And keep on loving him. Just like I will keep on buying those records and listening to Tyrese songs and seeing his reat movies. But I will never like the arms. He messed up his beautiful skin to me. I wish him and his beautiful daughter and baby Mama well. Oh and you too.
Worry is a bit strong of a word for this. I don’t see more in Tyrese and what he does to his body, More than I see in myself, my son, the economy and things going on in this world. On my down time I enjoy visitng the sites, I just made a comment. And I am sicking with it.

Atleast he did admitted that he wasn’t perfect and took partial blame (that shows his real maturity). I am surprised his marriage only lasted 10 months! Oh well, as he said, some marriages just don’t work out–you have to do what’s best for the kids! Much success to him!
She is a cutie. You never know how two people’s genes are going to play out in their babies. It’s called genetics. But, I am glad he is maintaining a relationship with his little girl. Having a Daddy in your life is priceless. Good for you Tyrese.

Shayla is a cutie pie, but I’m wondering what eye you guys are looking out of when you say she looks just like him..please she doesn’t look like Tyrese. Forget skin color..she looks like herself not Ty at all. And here we go with the deadbeat Dad business. I see him as one of those guys who won’t pay child support unless its ordered, or he’s taken to jail..
