WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MICHAEL JACKSON’S KIDS?
According to Brian Oxman, a lawyer to the Jackson family, Michael Jackson’s kids Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II, will most likely be placed in the care of his mother Katherine Jackson.
“Probably Mrs. Jackson will take care of them, she loves them dearly,” Oxman tells RadarOnline.
“Everyone is crying and it’s very sad,” he added about the scene at the hospital where Michael was pronounced dead yesterday.
Oxman also reveals that Jackson’s three kids were in the house when the ambulance took their dad away.
Grace Rwaranda: As can be expected, Michael Jackson’s children were loved by many. One such person was their nanny Grace Rwaramba. According to ABC news, ” A battle for Michael Jackson’s three children began brewing between the children’s nanny and grandmother just hours after the pop singer was pronounced dead Thursday, according to a Jackson biographer and family friend.”
Grace Rwaramba, 42, is the nanny who has worked for Jackson for nearly twenty years until his untimely death on June 25th,2009. In 2006, Grace and Michael were rumored to have gotten married. The rumors turned out false but one thing is for sure: Grace was an integral part of Jackson’s life.
”Michael’s wishes were known. He wants Grace to have the kids. They love her,” reveals Stacey Brown, an old family friend.
”If the kids had the choice,” Brown said, “I think they’d pick Grace.”
Debbie Rowe: Debbie Rowe is the biological mother of Prince Michael Jr., 12, and Paris Katherine, 11. Debbie signed off all her rights as a parent in 2001 but sources say that she will probably try to regain custody of her kids.
I truly hope there will not be a nasty custody battle over the children. Im sure this is already hard enough for them as is. Considering the age of Katherine Jackson, it might be best for the kids to remain with the nanny who has cared for them since birth..with of course, his family having full and regular visitation. I would hate for them to go with grandma and then she passes away before they reach adulthood, then they would bounced around yet again.

There is too much of a possibility of a leak somewhere there. If Mike was going to fake his death he’d have to be lost sea or something like that.
What I truly wonder is do his parents have any legal rights since these are not really his biological children.. they definitely do not look biracial and he did not legally adopt them.

I feel the same way. MJ is a brilliant man. I seen the news conference he gave announcing his tour. The man at the podium was not MJ the teeth are wrong the complexion is wrong. I’ve been a fan of MJ all my life. I watched all the music videos look at the teeth. My husband thinks i’m crazy but look back at the photos and the videos and compare the teeth,the voice was even different. What really stuck to me was it seemed so calculated,the announcement MJ had a lung disease,then the This is it tour!,then going into cardiac arrest with a Doctor there. The man is an unstoppable force. I cannot and will not believe MJ was hooked on perscription drugs,When in 1984 he was commended by the President Ronald Reagan for his charitiable work with drug and alcohol addicts. The man was a health nut. Look at his concerts and videos, nonstop energy. Do you know what kind of physical conditon you have to be in to sustain such energy.His physical conditon is on par with Lance armstrong. If he is indeed gone we lost a grat man,entertainer,icon and may he get the peace indeath that he did not get in life.

i agree KayJay, makes so much sense and sounds so logical compared to some of the crap i’ve been reading. This is such a sad time for them as well and i dont think people are paying attention to that. They just lost their everything, not even 3 days ago. I feel so so sorry for those babies. They’re babies and the last thing they need is bickering and confusion over their benefit. God be with them.

The nanny cannot claim michael’s children unless Katherine decideds to give them to her …the family has the claim to the children first…and although the oldest two children are not mikes biological children they are still his kids…if the nanny takes katehrine to court she will loose…Im sure that One of michaels siblings will take in the children.lets not forget that he has 8 of them.
secondly debbie rowe cannot get custody because she signed away her parental rights TWICE…once when they were born.and a second time after she took mike to court she was granted custody again.But signed away her rights after mike gave her more money..Debbie rowe is unfit she sold her children no court is going to give her custody.Also blanket is not her child he is the product of a surrogate and michael’s sperm.That is why he has darker skin and hair and black features.what will happen to him .I hope the kids are not seperated
All three are his biological children, both women were artificially inseminated. Those kids look mixed, bi-racial children come in different complexions depending on Genes. If there is no legal document stating Michael’s wishes the children go to the family, and Debbie Rowe signed away her parental rights which means she has the same chance of getting those children as a stranger off the street zero to none only if the family doesn’t want to take them in which I doubt, and even if so then the nanny would get them.

The question is…Would Janet want the kids?? I think not. If she wanted kids, she would have had kids. If she did not want to HAVE them, she could also have gone the surrogate route. She’s not even married to the man she’s been with FOR YEARS. Does she or any of the other family have any kind of relationship with the kids??? Debbie Rowe basically sold them. She DOES still have parental rights, but she gets a hefty check to let him have full custody. NOT ANYMORE!! But separating the kids would also be horrible for them. The whole family is pretty messed up. God I hope LaToya stays out of the custody stuff. Katherine is too old (75) to raise those children-even with a nanny, too old to make appropriate decisions for chilren! But where the kids go…the money goes(whatever money is left). If the nanny knows them, loves them and they chose her..that would probably be best for them. But not likely. No matter what he did, I am sure the kids will get the rawest of deals!

I’m not sure which state was considered Michael’s permenant address but I would think that the laws of the state decide who gets the kids. In most states since Debbie has given away her rights the kids would go to Katy, she would be considered next of kin closest to Michael. Unless Debbie has had signifiicant contact with the kids within the last 10 years. The nanny wouldn’t be able to keep the kids since she is not next of kin. Unless Michael requested the nanny to keep the kids in his will. All states are different though…………..
I just hope that all the kids stay together and EVERYONE keeps their main focus on whats best for the children. Such a tragedy my empathy goes out to the Jacksons.

I agree unless Michael stated otherwise the children will not go to the nanny. However to imply he is broke is crazy. Broke to Michael is not the same as broke to us. I think his left them fine financially.

TMZ is now saying that Debbie Rowe may get custody because she did not give up her rights and she will definitely want the children because of the money invovled
There is no money involved, what ever is left in his estate goes to his debt, and being a biological parent you don’t get assistance with your own children as you would if you adopted.
Just reading Debbie’s interview would have me saying they shouldn’t be given to her. She also stated it was her idea that the kids wear masks, not Michaels.
I don’t understand how Debbie is even an option. This nut job SOLD her children. I can not believe that after all these years it has come out that her parental rights were never legally taken although she tried to give them up TWICE. This woman does not care for those kids, all she sees is $$$$$$$ and it’s been that way since the beginning. She’s not even the mother of “Blanket” so what will happen to him if she does get custody of the older two? There is no way that these kids should be seperated.
After learning about the nanny, I think she may be the best option since grandma Katherine is older than I thought. She raised those kids and they know her very well. For all intensive puposes she has been their mother.

I heard that Katherine is not in good health, so maybe Janet. Whomever they go to (I hope it’s NOT Debbie), I know they will be loved and taken care of. My heart aches for them. I can’t imagine the pain they are going through after such an unexpected loss of their daddy.

I hope that the family settles this quickly and quietly for the sake of the children. If the children wind up in the care of the nanny I hope that she gives the Jackson family full visitation rights so that the children no their father’s family and if the children wind up with a member of the Jackson family I hope they don’t cut the nanny out of their life because she was obviously a major part of their life and so they need to keep the children’s lives as normal as possible especially with all they have been through.

Debbie and Janet should share custody and grandmother Katherine should have access to them on a regular basis. Mothers who are addicted to crack get to keep their children, so yes, Debbie should have them too with Janet a constant presence in their lives. Jermaine will talk about keeping them because he has a big mouth and was always jealous of Michael. When he married his brother Randy’s wife that was too much for words. He claims to be broke and cannot pay his child support so of course he will go for custody of the money, er, I mean custody of the kids. The same thing in his eyes I’m sure.

Because you’ve seen women who were addicted to crack keep they’re children A non-existant mother should be able to get custody of children who are not emotionally hers? WHAT?! That makes no bloody sense! And what would happen to Blanket? Is he supposed to lose his daddy and siblings all in one week? People should do what’s best for these children and allow them to stay with the Jackson’s. The nanny may keep her job so not everything is different. As for your comment on Jermaine. I saw the excerpts from Micheal’s book and would not want my kids with his mother who sat by and allowed her husband to abuse those children the way he did. Oh he admitted to “whipping them” but not beating them because he did not use a stick.
If you have read any of the accounts Micheal made about his upbringing how could you want innocent children to be put into that environment?
Let’s stop the cycle of abuse. And for those of you who don’t believe Micheal is dead, why would he leave his kids?
Also remember that if Katherine gets them so does Joe. Most of the children have stated that he abused them.
If Joe Jackson gets his hands on them, who is to say that he will not damage them as he did his own children?

Debbie shouldn’t get these kids. Janet may not want them. Jermaine can’t even take care of the 7 or 8 kids he has right now. Randy doesn’t need them. So, we have Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Rebbie. Latoya sure as hell shouldn’t get them and Joe and Kat, well they are too old, and I’d only want Kat to raise them if I had to choose between the two.
I say Marlon, Tito, Jackie or Rebbie. Rebbie seems a lot more stable and I like Marlon too, he seems really stable. I don’t know too much about Jackie. A LOT of introverts in this family, A LOT.
I think Janet would be the best for them. And for those saying that she might not want kids, remember that she is their AUNT. Yes, she might not want children, but these aren’t just any random children. These are her BROTHER’s children and it is her duty to do right by them as best as she possibly can.
Yes there are other people that could get the children but since most of them are too unstable, too old, or too greedy to put the children’s interests first, I honestly hope and pray that Janet takes them.
Like someone else pointed out, Janet is the only one that we can be sure of who will not think about the money when considering the children. For that reason, she should be the one to get them. Poor kids.
Stability is important now for this children, and I believe that Janet can give them that. She has her own money and I don’t think it will be a big deal for her. I also believe she was the sibling closest to Michael, therefore she should take the kids. Her parents seem to be getting old too so they shouldn’t be considered an option.

It has been stated that Debbie Rowe regained some parental rights and as such can be awarded custody irrispective of what is in the will. As for money.. trusts are in place for the children therefore whoever ends up with custody will not have the money or control of it
