BREAKING NEWS:KATHERINE JACKSON GRANTED TEMPORARY CUSTODY
Katherine Jackson, the mother of the late Michael Jackson, was granted temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson’s three children today in a Los Angeles Superior Court. UsMagazine reports that Katherine filed for a petition on Monday asking the court to appoint her as guardian of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11 and Prince Michael II, 7.
Though it has not yet been determined whether or not Katherine will become the children’s permanent guardian, Jacksons’ attorney Londell McMillan said there isn’t “anybody who thinks that there is someone better” than Katherine Jackson to have custody.
“She is a very loving host of other grandchildren,” McMillian said on Monday’s Today show
A hearing is set for Aug. 3 to determine if Katherine will become the permanent guardian of Michael’s kids.
There are speculations that Debbie Rowe, the mother of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, will fight Katherine for custody.
I think that is great, although I believe that Debbie should at least get to see her children, they should be with someone they know and from what I’m hearing they don’t know their mother and since only 2 are for her dont split them up these kids need each other at this time if she’s going to fight give them time to get over this, these children only had their dad and each other and since dad is gone they will need each other alot to get through this RIP MJ
Please!!! will someone please admit the honest to God’s truth. All these years we’ve been told that Debbie Rowe was nothing more than a surrogate whom lent her womb to Michael Jackson because of her strong love she for him and she wanted him to experience this happiness of life which she in return gave and accepted an exceptional amount of money in exchange for this and to go away from him & the children. So now where do we as the people in the world go with this. Have there been any proofs established to let us the world know that Debbie Rowe is truly the kids biological mother any one could have been choosen to carry these children for him. Where’s this proof. Her being married to him does not make her the true biological mother as the old saying goes where’s the beef where’s the truth in the DNA for miss Rowe???
I’m really happy to hear that. Even though I know Katy is up in age and not in the best health, I’m sure other Jackson family members will help her raise those kids until the courts decide where they go. Even though she is not their biological grandmother, it doesn’t matter. I’m sure she love and adores those children and I know they love and adore her. I hope Debbie Rowe never gets them. JMO.
Maybe it’s just me, but does Debbie Rowe look older than Katherine Jackson in the above posted picture?
Just my opinion, but if she didn’t see herself as a single Mom raising the kids after the divorce, why should she be a better candidate for that now that she is much older, and no male role model to be involved with the kids under her watch?
She stated on video that she didn’t want the kids, they were a gift to Michael.
To say the kids were gifts, Michael sure paid her for them in past settlements when he was living, and she still desires payment from him for the gifts/kids now that he’s deceased.
was Michael a whiteman? How can he give birth to white babies if he is not. He could be steril anyway so a donner gave the sperms.
I’m glad the children will be with their Grandma, but is Katherine still with Joe? I don’t want that vulture anywhere near them. We’ve all seen the effects of his ‘parenting’.
I feel that the media likes to start trouble…They keep bringing up Debbie Rowe…Maybe she wants the kids to go with Katherine.The media is opening up a can of worms, they want a custody battle. The kids know Katherine better than Debbie so why would she want to hurt the kids even more, after they just lost their parents. Stop talking about Debbie until she happens to come out and start talking.I am glad the kids are with their grandmother and please leave Joe alone, Joe never landed his kids in the hospital. He was a strong discilinarian and all his kids turned out successful. If he was such a villain Michael wouldn’t of named one of his sons after him…Leave the Jackson family alone…

That guy from Duke University never landed his adopted AA son in the hospital, either, but I don’t think anyone will be nominating him for ‘Father of the Year’ anytime soon!
I totally agree. I feel the media is egging her on. For all we know she may be willing to walk away from those kids and do what’s best for them but with the media constantly pumping custody battle in everyone’s ears she might just jump on the bandwagon. I hope those babies go to a Jackson sister (Reby or Janet). Joe Jackson doesn’t have a good track record so I’m giving him the side-eye for now.
Has anyone heard from Debbie? I’m surprised that she hasn’t ran to the media like she did the last time she wanted custody. Maybe she finally is putting the children first?
I can’t see the courts allowing the kids to stay with an elderly sick grandparent who lives with the man who abused their children…or will the latter not count since it is not documented? Still, I’m very happy that the children are getting to know their extended family and are being taken care of by their grandmother who loves them dearly. I’ve been praying for those babies every night.
One last thing, has it been confirmed that the Jackson’s share no blood ties to the children? On every news station I have heard that Katheine is not the biological grandparent but that it shouldn’t matter because Michael was the legal parent.
Blood ties should not matter in this case. If you adopted a child and passed away, should the biological mother who has never been a part of their life and chose to give them up be allowed to swoop in and take the child? No, he or she should remain with the extended family they have known and grown to love. A lot is being made of whether or not Michael is the biological parent of these children. What does it matter? If he chose to have his “surrogate”(because that is what Debbie technically was) impregnated with donor sperm, how it that different from adopting a child who has no biological ties to you? The children are still HIS, because he chose to have them, love them, raise them. I have even heard people asking what if the real biological fathers show up, what are their rights? Are you kidding me? They should have none. Blood ties mean nothing in the actual raising of children, its the nurturing, loving and everyday caring that makes a person a true parent.
Debbie Rowe hasn’t even said anything about custody yet! As a matter of fact, she said “Michael isn’t even buried yet!” So what does that tell u? It’s just the media trying to cash in on Michael’s death, that’s all.
This is good, but Kat is pushing like 80 years old. I know she is gonna get a lot of help from other kids. I VOTE FOR REBBIE! Rebbie looks like the only kid that manage to stay normal. You ain’t heard that she broke, that she got plastic surgery, that she suing Michael, that she was bumpin her abusive manager, that she dating somebody in the spotlight and it fizzled. And Rebbie still looks good.

I vote 4 Debbie or the Nanny…these kids were subjected to adjusting to Michael’s world that he was trying to escape/recapture as far as a childhood…So he was very protective of the children but I believe what is best for them is normalcy….I wish they were able to be continually covered up until they were grown that way they could adjust better into society…Katheringe Jackson seems sweet. Yet you have to wonder Why Michael was obsessed w/having children and raising them w/out a Mother? HMMM?!!
I think Michael loved his momma, but if you are a ’sweet mom’ who sits idly by and let your husband do some ‘questionable’ (indeed some say abusive) things to and with your kids - then isn’t that like giving tacit permission to do that or doesn’t it make you like an accomplice to abuse?
Kat is sweet but she let Joe head everything and MJ probably resented her for not being more assertive or aggressive and stopping Joe for what he did. But Joe probably would have nocked her out if she said anything so…

I think MJ didn’t want a mom for his kids because he didn’t want to share his kids and have to interact with anyone in that way. I think he wanted his kids all to himself - his ‘living’ legacy (even if they weren’t biologically his).

Can you honestly look at those kids and not see Debbie? There is no doubt in my mind that she is the biological mother.
I am still sad about Michael’s death. About the children, here is where I’m confused and maybe I’m missing something, but I keep hearing about Debbie Rowe and the TWO children. There are THREE children and I understand if only Prince and Paris are supposed to be her two children, but how can they separate both of them from Prince Michael II? He is the youngest and would probably be the most confused. They all three lost their father, why would anyone want to separate them? And unless I’m wrong again, where has Debbie been all their lives? How often has she actually been involved? Is it really right for those children to be with her? Please tell me if I am wrong!!!

Yeah, has she said anything? I don’t believe so! I don’t see her voicing that she wants her children at a time like this. Debbie Rowe loved Michael she practical had a shrine of him at her home.I don’t see her being that crass during a time of grieving. I know she loved him dearly. I know she loves those children as well. It’s the media at it again trying to sling dirt and mud and muddy him up again. What the media does not GET is that the more mud you sling, the more love he gains.
I pray thsoe children stay with their family, who can rightfuly provide them with his legacy and keep them safe. Prince, Paris and Michael II I pray that God heals your grieving heart.
Wendy where have you been lol? She has a lawywer that has made several statements regarding her and the kids.
Her lawyer has said that she is willing to take a DNA test to prove that she is in fact the biological mother and he has also said that she is deciding whether or not she will fight for custody (deciding IMO means that she is waiting to see how much $ the Jackson’s will pay her to go away).
On a news show (or rado can’t remember which) Debbie has said that she wants her children and she doesn’t want them around Joe. I did not hear this first hand so I can’t confirm it, but I did hear the lawyer so yes she did speak.
The way Debbie Rowe (Hot mess) lashed out at the paparazzi she doesn’t deserve those kids. That heffa has a serous mean streak in her. Those kids appear to be attached to Katherine and the rest of the family.
