MARY LOUISE PARKER AND DAUGHTER HAVE A FEW LAUGHS
Actress Mary Louise Parker and her 2 ½-year-old daughter Aberash spent some quality time together during a BBQ at Bronson park in Hollywood on June 21.
Parker has revealed in a recent interview with WebMD that she is somewhat of a disciplinarian to her son William,5, and to her daughter Aberash.
“Sometimes we’ll get up in the middle of dinner and have a dance party, just because there’s music on and everybody’s happy. There’s also one wall in my living room that the kids are allowed to paint on, and sometimes we’ll empty all the food that’s gone bad out of the refrigerator, put it in a bucket, mash it around, and call it witches’ brew. In that sense I’m free.”
“But on the other hand, this is your bedtime, and no, we’re not buying any more of that right now, and you can’t have everything you want, and you have to say thank you and may I, please.”(Read more about Mary Louise, Aberash, and her son William!)

My how she’s grown..look at all that hair…she’s beautiful…she really is.
Mary looks extremely elated with her little girl.
Wasn’t she a baby the other day?!?
Anyways, I can tell that she is doing a great job by the joy on that little girl’s face… good job Parker!
Did she adopt from Malawi too? Her daughter is growing so quickly.
Ash is from Ethiopia.
That little girl is too cute.
I like her style.
Beautiful child.
She seems quite happy.
See how when white folks get our children, they allow them to be naturally beautiful? You just don’t see weave, extensions and relaxers in the kids hair. I love it!
Oh gawd …
There’s always someone who has to take everything and compare it to the entire Black race, and show how we are “inferior.”
I’m so tired of this uncle Ruckus complex.
There are plenty of Black parents all over the world, including the U.S. who let their children be “naturally beautiful” hence the popularity of cornows in children’s hair.
LOL “Uncle Rukus…….no relation”
Adorable little girl! I love to see parents having fun with their kids (love Aberash’s outfit btw).
I totally agree w/ you! Sad as it may seem, it is usually the case that we don’t appreciate our own natural beauty…
Little Ash is a beautiful little girl, Mary-Louise seems to be doing a wonderful job with her.
WHAT? Where do you live, where you see a child that age with weaves, relaxers & so on? Wow, maybe I need to get out more.
@NikNak
I think what Kiki meant by the comment is that we as black people do not embrace our natural beauty. We relax our children’s hair at the tender age of 3 so they can have straight “manageable” hair. Yet, the white people who adopt black children keep their natural beauty intact with braids, curls and whatnot. If anything they are the ones who should be trying to get “manageable” hair for their adopted children because they are not used to that type of hair.
I disagree. “We” do not relax children’s hair at age 3. That is not the norm. Go to any daycare, pre-school, kindergarten, first grade … a child’s hair relaxed at that age us very uncommon.
People need to stop buying into the trend of insulting Black people, and then calling it “keeping it real.” If we are going to talk about a group of people, we need to look at cultural norms, and statistics.
Seeing some outrageous pic on a site, or one time out in public does not mean that it represents the entire race.
Matter of fact this child is wearing a pretty common hairstyle for a little Black girl her age.
she’s soooooooooooooooooo cute!!! love her hair!! her mom’s doing an amazing job considering she’s not even black… but what about the whole relaxing issue??? my aunt relaxed my lil cuz’s hair at two..
I agree Suitepuma. I could have sworn that she was a baby kast time we saw her lol.
What a beautiful little girl with such a contagious smile
And I just wanted to say that she is doing a good job with her hair lol.
They both look happy and loving toward one another. Wonderful!
Goodness, gracious! Little Aberash isn’t so little any more. You can clearly see the sincere love between the two. Mary-Louise obviously makes her (and William), her #1 priority! I wish them all the happiness and success in the world!
she’s Ethiopian i can tell cause i am too
That little girl looks REALLY happy !!!!!!!!!!!!
awww thats jus so nice to see, she really does look happy an i like her hair also
She is adorable little girl.
The little girl is too cute. I’m confusing her with Joely fisher’s daughter.
That little girl is absolutely elated with her mommy..now that is what I am talking about. A beautiful happy family.
BTW, I totally agree with NikNak, never have I seen a 3 year old with a weave, or perm, in fact no beautician that I know would give a child a perm that early because of their scalp and cranium. I think you are confusing families who actually take the time out to take care of their children’s hair like combing it, shampooing and deep conditioning. You will be surprised how much your texture can change just by taking care of your hair from an early age. You may think its something entirely different than what it is.
Love the twists!!!!! Angelina!!!!!!!! you watchin’? Beautiful job at mothering. Not implying that you’re not. But, yes back to the hair. Somebody did her homework.
