INTRODUCING THE OMG GIRLZ(FEATURING LIL WAYNE’S AND TINY’S DAUGHTERS)
You may have caught an eyeful of their controversial BET performance, but you may have no idea who the OMG Girlz are. The OMG Girlz are in fact a singing group which consists of four girls ranging from ages 10-13. The group features the daughters of rapper Lil Wayne(Reginae Carter) and singer Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (Zonnique), and two young girls named Bahjah and Lourdes.
The group is the brain child of former Xscape member Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, who now stars on BET reality show Tiny and Toya. Tiny hopes that the “OMG Girlz [will be] age appropriate and real cool”.(Source for quote)
Perhaps they may have not made a lasting impression with the world since their performance on the 2009 BET Awards, but the OMG Girlz intend to prove themselves.
As for that controversial BET performance, singer Drake has said the following:
“Yeah, it was just timed very poorly and it definitely wasn’t planned like that, but with that being said, it is what is. I believe in Wayne and myself and it’s nothing we can’t bounce back from. To anyone who was offended, my personal apologies, it wasn’t intended to offend anybody.”(Source)

Am I seeing things or can u see straight through those Tutu’s
I can see right thru them tutu’s
uh, aren’t tutu’s always see-through? i know mine were.
uh, mine wasn’t! an if they are then u shud have tights or leggings underneath 4 sure!
one of them only has on socks so u can c all her business
I danced for 7 years (tap, jazz, and ballet) and my tutu’s were not see through except for one and I had to wear tights, shorts, and draws underneath (and pants until I got to the recital)………. maybe times have changed but OMG is right
Wow, I didn’t even notice that their tutu’s was see through! So much for being “age appropriate”! That looks like something Lady GaGa would have on in a photo shoot, not little girls. This is a HOT ghetto mess, and they really need to come up with something better. When I watched that performance, the little red one, Baby’s daughter, was acting like she was a straight up video girl! Wayne’s daughter was really the only one you could tell was kinda uncomfortable and shy. She just really stood back and was smiling, just shocked she was on stage. Yall need to correct that like ASAP ye digg……
Don’t you mean baby’s daughter is quiet and uncomfortable, lil wayne’s daughter Reginae is kinda the video girl
Whomp
I think they are cute and yes the BET Awards was definitely not the right venue for them to perform at but I am hoping they will give Ms. Miley Cyrus a run for her money. My sisters love her and I think it would be good for them to look up to african american performers around their age group.
Cute but you can see thru the tutus. What happened to Reginae’s edges? The concept is cute tho, I wonder if they all can sing.
The result of kids having kids, what a freakin mess. They can’t help but be grown as hell, look at their role models. See babies in the future …
I agree…
DH3Y 4R3 SO CUT3 LiiL W4YN3 D4UGHT3R LUK YOUNG TOO. WHO iiSz DH4T OLD3ST GURL
Please stop.
I cant understand that. What type of writing are we teaching our children. Its one thing to use shorthand to send a msg. But this is ridiculous.
Please do not type in the 10 year old myspace fonts! That’s annoying, and nobody is trying to read kiddie [stuff]like that.
STOP IT!
what is this?
This is totally ridiculous. This is the Millenial Generation at ITS WORST!. The BET Thing was beyond comprehension! I am so sick and tired of people actually thinking that performance was oaky. Lil Wayne ought to be ashamed of himself but he’s still a little biy just playing daddy and apparently someone with sense hasn’t bothered to intervene in his life. Call MJ crazy but at least he GOT MARRIED! His kids were PLANNED. I was unplanned but at least my parents had the good sense to marry make it work for almost 40 years! I have BET but it might as well be a analog station for all I care. It hasnt been right since Tavis Smiley and Ed Gordon made it respectable years ago. It’s hoodie, hoodie, hoodie and shows no sign of getting its image right at all.
so are you saying that every couple that has a child out of wed lock needs to get married?? i dont agree.
and as far as the girls go… yes that performance was not appropriate at all… but the fact that there was an apology… shows a lot. so dont bash the girls down before they can even come out correctly.
@Danyel-
Girl you are right on point! Couldn’t've said it better myself! BET has always been on the banned list in my house as well.
you said: “…Call MJ crazy but at least he GOT MARRIED! His kids were PLANNED…”
that’s the worst argument against marriage and planned parenthood i have ever heard! his marriage was a FARCE and the children (though undoubtedly wanted and loved) were ‘cooked to order’ like a burger a BK. sorry, but that’s not the model of marriage that i hold dear.
the girls are cute. other then wayne’s lapse in judgement and the obvious lack of a stylist (not ‘grown’ but stupid, imho) i see nothing wrong with these girls. now.
just how they and their parents continue to handle their rôle as ‘mini-celebs’ will tell whether or not the worst case prophecies while become true - whether they will do well and be suitable rôle moodels for other young people.
Totally agree…beautiful girls though.
I am so tired of people blaming our generation as being “ghetto” or “A HOT MESS” or acting like a “video girl”. What people dont understand is the concept of the group is to have fun. These girls are from the ages of 10-13.Tiny brought these girls together because she saw that they have talent and as for the comment about Lil Wayne not being a good parent you don’t even know him to judge him.So he had a daughter at an early age and he DID marry Antonia aka Reginae’ s mother but they divorced and are still friends. Lil Wayne loves his daughter and will do anything for her. and their tutu’s are see thru but they have someting under them and are not dancing in an “ghetto” way. the BET award performance may not have been the most appropriete way to have their debut but they are trying to overcome that but people just don’t forgive and forget .get over it
Co-sign Danyel!!
“OMG Girlz [will be] age appropriate and real cool”
From your lips to God’s ear, because that fiasco last Sunday was neither. Keep it family-friendly, please!
C THROUGH TUTUS CAN IT GET WORSE
Those are not tutus they are pettiskirts and are not meant to be worn alone (or at least not that kind).
The brand that is for kids that they can actually wear without anything overtop or underneath is “Kaiya Eve.”
A HOT MESS! Their mother’s should have them picking up a book and learning something instead of shaking their a#@. What a shame.
What ever happened to little Zonnique’s “QT Possie” BCK?
You can go to Tiny’s myspace page and see QT Jazz…1/2 of QT Possie.
What’s with the color in their hair? I meand I’m sure they didn’t color their actual hair and they’re probably just hair pieces but still there’s something odd about that, maybe if they were like little Willows in braids of or just with one color it wouldn’t seem that bad. IDK “shrugs* or it could just be the outfits combined with the hair that makes it seem too mature for them.
Ok, it’s see-through, but she’s wearing tights and some kind of shorts underneath it. So, nothing to fuss about.
I hope they arent planning to drop it like its hot, to remind me of this group of kids from the early 90’s, The Puppies.
Hopefully, they keep it fun, simple and kiddie sweet.
Because its bad enough that their Momma’s are wacky and tacky, we dont need to see them in the same light too.
Btw, the youngest girl is the daughter of Jonathan Rasbor, from the group Silk. The tall, caramel colored, co-lead singer.
My sister and I had the biggest crush on him when they first came out. He used to make me swoon. Now, I hear he’s a deadbeat Dad. Pity.
Anyways, keep it fun, simple and kiddie sweet little girls.
two words…HOT MESS!
and what happened to that little girl Jasmine that Zonnique used to be in a group with? what were they called, QT Posse? did she toss her to the side? or did Jasmine decide she didn’t want to be a part of this train wreck called a singing group. i haven’t seen their BET “performance”, nor will i perpetuate ignorance by ever watching it. BET bans the “b” word (just another pathetic attempt at sensorship), yet they dang near condone child porn or whatever you want to call them being on stage during that song. everytime BET tries to take 2 steps forward, they turn right around and take 3 back.
Umm in no way, shape or form was the performance on BET kiddie porn.. Nor should it be considered that. But then again like you said you didn’t watch it. And they did issue a statement apologizing for what happened. Technically the girls are not to blame. And how do you know they are a trainwreck? Judging little kids instead of thinking that their music might be positive and age appropriate before you even listen or hear what they have.
fair enough. but it still doesn’t excuse BET, statement issued or not. are they gonna issue a statement everytime we see some hot ghetto mess in their programming? and they wonder why they’re losing viewers.
those girls appearing on stage during that song sure wasn’t a way to gain a ‘positive and age-appropriate’ audience, that’s for sure. judging by the way they’re dressed (which is pretty much all we have to go on now, as they don’t have an album out and i doubt they will be able to reach a large performance audience anytime soon), i’m not sure how many parents would be ok with these kids as peer role models for their girls. admittedly, if i saw these little girls performing in a mall with these see-through tutu’s on, i would wonder who are their parents and question their authority.
i mean, this situation screams ghetto fabulous. why do you have 2 mothers standing there, like they are the older sisters or something? be a parent, not a friend. this is just tacky to me. and i said TO ME. no one else has to agree.
[...] Tiny’s hope is that the “OMG Girlz [will be] age appropriate and real cool.” You can see more photos of the girls and their moms. [...]
Fail.
So QT possie failed & now we have the OMG girls? Those girsl were a mess onstage & even in this pic? Y r their skirts see thru?
E P I C F A I L! E P I C F A I L! E P I C F A I L! E P I C F A I L!
These girls look to adult like, they’ll never reach girl/tween pandemonium status like these ladies :
Zaria (from Parent Hood) nor
Raven Symone(disney) nor
Keke Plamer(nick; Akeelah; JumpIn; TrueJackson).
Tameka , Toya, & all the other mothers: whyr are you NOT THINKING?
QT Jazz of QT Possie is still working on her career she performs and train weekly and she is an honor student in school. She and Zonnique are still friends. She is friends with the OMG Girlz. They support each other. You can see her on Tiny’s myspace page pics.
Are they supposed to be some new talent.?
Yes…
I heard the music they have recorded and it is very good.
Hey this is to everyone who commented on the little red girl being baby’s daughter! That was not his daughter his daughter was in the audience. Before making ugly comments about children who have know control of there environment make sure its the right child.
aha!your the one whos wrong i was at the BET awards and YES it was lil`wayans daughter up on stage the girl .. your talking about sitting in the audience with him .. is lil wayans LITTLE SISTER (BIRD MAN`S DAUGHTER)!
Umm first off that is not baby’s daughter! BRIA is his daughters name and they said that girl name is baja or sumthin and that girl in the group looks nothin like her, and second they apologized, and said they didn’t mean to cause all the controversy, and didn’t mean to offend anyone! AND bet has edited the reruns of the show by blocking out there appearance… My goodness ppl move on from it! Ppl act like they are mother of the year in here and never made a parenting mistake.. Young and old!! Sheesh *smh*
This is a HOTT MESS! See through tu tu’s? Botty shaking to “Every Girl” on BET? All they need now is a stripper pole! I know BET didn’t know what to expect, so I feel people shouldn’t blame them. But for their Mothers, different story! People these days will do anything to sell… even sell their kids out! Wonder how far they will go to market these children? I had to send my children out of the room, didn’t want them to think that was okay. This is a very desperate and sad situation! I agree, a product of babies having babies, and money hungry women!
aha,this is just to funny
these girls should go get a hobby
go play soccer,dance,ANYTHING
do little commercials join an agency thats what i did
now i model for agencies such as “estrelas“ in brazil
start small.they shouldnt start so big
already..who are they tryna be female jackson fives
If they are supposed to be “singers” then why were they on the stage like a bunch of video chicks???? The parents of today are a joke my mom and dad would have never allowed me to get on the stage with a see through tutu and a pair of hanes no way!!!!!!!
Um why dont them girls have on som leggins or somthin undre thoes tutu’s
[...] Check The Link ——> OMG Girlz!!!! [...]
First of all… reading these statements r too funni…..
Bria (Birdmans daughter) is not in the OMG Gurlz… she was on stage with wayne when he won the award holding Birdman’s hand.
BET may have not known what was gonna occur but Tiny and Toya did… They called it the “debut: of the OMG GurlZ… Tiny left a comment about being excited about it on her twitter page..
I mean i think the group may turn out okay but i feel this is a result of young women trying to live thru their children and trying to be their daughters friends instead of their mother. Toya had Reginae at a young age and she claim she’s tryna “break the cycle” i hate to break it to her but not like this.. Reginae doesnt even look like she is 10 years old. she looks older than the average teenager…But hey you cant bash the child its that mama’s fault. then they wonder why its so many pedophiles out here.. People have sick minds and you should never exploit your child like that. See thru tu tu’s… come on now its cute but way too mature…. My 10 year old daughter would be home playing with doll babies and reading chapter books not tryna b n the limelight…
As for Tiny.. her daughter is a lil older and about to reach the age of a teen but there still is no excuse. i feel sorry for the children.. The mothers need parenting classes because this is clearly not how its done…
However i do wish the gurls the best of luck but Hey ” everybody wana b a Superstar”..lol
all you people do is complain…
Ya’ll complain about the hair issue and about somebody not being married or somthing crazy…
like come on seriously
I think most of these commments are a pitty. It is not these young girls faults their mothers are stupid. In all, these are still children and some of you shouldn’t type such things. I hope they do make it, I also hope they have someone with more sense to guide them in the right direction. I for the most part feel most sympathy for lil Bahjah. Her mother is quite the mother figure. I would never spread such personal information on a national internet site about what’s going on in my childs life with her father. Especially with the girls trying to be in the lime-light. That is a totally not for the public. If I had the worst baby father in the world, I would deal with him as an adult and spare my childs feelings. Is it that important to her to let the world know her buisness? My personal outlook on it is that, the worst you make a “baby moma” or “baby daddy” look, what does that say about you spreading your legs to them? Grow up people!
I don’t see what’s so bad is about this group, it’s purely innocent to me. I mean, they make far more sense for little girls to listen and look up to than Miley Cyrus or The Cheetah Girls, and the latter two were huge. That nonsense at the BET awards ceremony- lapse in judgment I think we can pretty much all agree on. But I see nothing wrong with the group in and of itself, I wish them well. And big deal about the see-thru tutus, they’re wearing lollipops underneath- it’s no different than seeing them in cheerleading outfits.
One thing, though- Reginae’s gotta stop pulling her hair up like that, it’s falling out at the edges. Cute girls, though.
Her hair is very healthy…that is they way her hair was parted.
they have socking and shorts in the skirts
OMG I LOVE THIER OUTFIT I ALWAYZ WANTED TO BECOME A SINGER I WISH I WAS THEM!
We need to pull it together and support these girls. I’m guessing most if not all the posts on this page are by women and we can all understand the kind of pressure these girls must feel right now especially being at the age between teen and adult. So you ladies need to be a bit more gentle with you comments. I don’t know about you but I would like little girls to have more “role models” than Hanna Montana, Selena Gomez and Demi Lavato.
YES WE DO
I HATE PPL WHO HATE ON OTHER PPL WHO TRY TO DO SOMETHING GOOD WITH THEIRSLEVES.IT WAS TINY AND TOYA DECISION IF THEY WANTED THEY KIDS ON THAT STAGE.I DO THINK THAT TINY AND TOYA KNOW EXACLTY WHAT THEY ARE DOING SO CAN YALL PLZ STOP TRYNA TELL THEM HOW 2 RAISE THEY KIDS AND WORRY ABOUT RAISING YO KIDZ…PLZ
<<MZ…I HATE HATERZ..
If I were John, I wouldn’t come around either. From reading this ladys friend comments, that would give anyone a nervous breakdown! Bad enough to have to deal with the baby mama acting stupid, the friend too….. NOT!
all you ppl posting bad comment about these kids should be ashamed of your self … how yall know what ghetto is if yall aint ghetto yourself … any ways these kids were just having fun they werent thinking about what the hell you gotta say about it all they wanted to do is enjoy the experince they don’t care about the song that was playing they just wanted to dance yea I agree they didn’t have to peform to that song but if you adultS !! Noticed it says love evry girl in the world they tried to make it unharmless so there children can be happy ( that’s what us as parents are suppose to do ) it is what it is they had fun that’s all that matters … if you had a child that was talented you would know … when I see my daughter dance its the fact that she’s happy not what the public says about her … its would be ashame … you ( ADULTS ) have no right to interfer with these kids experince …
