Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson, says that his grandchildren are entertainers in the making.
Michael Prince II a.k.a Blanket “can really dance,” Joe said on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday. “That’s what they’re saying. He can really dance.”
He added, “I keep watching Paris. She wants to do something.”

When asked who should get custody of Michael’s three children, Joe said, “The grandmother, Katherine, and I. There’s no one else to do what we can do for them.”
“We should keep them all together and make them happy,” he went on. “And feed them like they’re supposed to be fed. And let them get rest … and grow up to be strong Jacksons.”
Katherine has temporary legal guardian until a July 13 hearing.
Katherine shouldn’t get them either. She accepted and thereby aided Joe in everything he did to mess their children up. And she is still married to him! It’s obvious he hasn’t changed a bit.
She has taken a very passive role in the upbringing of the kids huh? But Michael adored her and considered her to be a great caretaker. Joe is told old to beat anyone and CPS will be all over him knowing his past. They have great aunts and uncles who will look out for them. I don’t think people realize that Katherine is a Jehovah’s Witness, they act more refined, don’t speak out and don’t believe in divorce unless it’s adultry based.
I thought it was me,the minute I heard Joe talking about those kids being enertainers in the making,I thought oh oh,go get the belt,lol. No seriously ,Joe shouldn’t be giving interviews about Michael’s kids being entertainers and he and Katherine raising them,its going to make it hard for Katherine to retain custody,knowing Joe’s history of vilolence towards Michael and his brothers.Just because their Michael’s children doesn’t mean they are or would want to be entertainers,no one needs to force entertaining on those children.Right now those kids need time to adjust to life without their loving father,I can’t see those kids cutting a rug right about now.
I agree with you, shell12! It is evident that higher education has never been valued by Joe Jackson or the rest of the Jackson clan, but this generation of Jackson’s might want to aspire to be lawyers, doctors, or some other kind of professional.
People of the 21st century don’t want to wear their bodies out to earn money and then not live to enjoy it. These children could very well have the brains to learn law or something else to make millions without lifting a finger unless it’s to sign documents to multiply their already existing fortune.
Janet Jackson sang in one of her songs after divorcing Renee Elizondo something to the effect, “Why should I give you money? It’s my feet that hurt after dancing, not yours.”
I hope these kids are advised or are smart enough to not have to put wear and tear on their bodies performing to make a living.
Oh my gosh!! Joe is on his rambling crusade as usual and no one is going to bother those kids. Their uncles and aunts will be there to make sure they are protected and loved..no one can replace Michael’s love for them ( they wilol have that love forever) but Katherine will do her best to honour her son’s request and be there for them as she has been since they were little…the Jackson’s are not strangers to these children. They have been around the their family of uncles, aunts and numerous cousins. Behind the security gates and in the protection of the family these children will be able to keep that legacy. Not one off spring of the Jackson boys has been in trouble, very well respected young men and women. Prince, Paris and Prince Michel II will be better in a family that wanted thenm from day one versus Debbie who choose not to be in their lives.
I think they should know her but she should not get custody absolutely not!

The older son is 12 and if he doesn’t know by now, being out of the protectiveness of Michael, with all of this stuff going on now; how would it affect them to know that they were sold like slaves, by this woman named as their mother?

Can’t the Jackson’s attorneys shut Joe Jackson up. the media is having a field day with his crap. He’s going to mess around and say something that will cause problems for the kids. Why can’t they put a band on his speaking or at lease have someone say that he doesn’ speak for the family. Why is he trying to come back into the household and mess up things.
Michael should have written in his will that none of the children could become entertainers before the age of 18 or 21, so they wouldn’t be exploited by Joe “MoneyMaker” Jackson.
Let’s assume that there is something in the will that limits Joe Jackson as regards those children. Since Michael knew that his parents were still married, I would almost bet that he has a clause in there to deal with Joe. It just seems that someone could put a speech bar of Joe as concerns the children.
That is a little old to start in this business….if the children want it then they should be allowed to be entertainers.
Tina, no disrespect to you but @ what cost, if you are old enough then you would know that all of those Jackson children are messed up in some way form or fashion, we have watched them over years long enough to know that there is a problem, & I will say it again those children does not need to be exploited by that man, MJ never had a childhood & that’s why he died with the same child mentality, I bet his children were like his bestfriends, & if you remember even upon them being brought into this world he fought to keep them out of the media
Didn’t Janet have a problem with illegal prescription pills ad depression I vaguely remember that coming up around the time of her divorce. Also the family lawyer said The kids are closer to Latoya, Janet has been primarily in AtL for the last few years with Jermaine Dupree. She has rarely seen the kids

A paragraph from Michael and Debbie Rowes divorce decree
According to the settlement, Rowe was at first awarded visitation once every 45 days. The visitation had to be between the hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and supervised by a nanny. However, if Jackson was “incapacitated” for longer than three weeks, Rowe was allowed to take charge of the children.
Hmmm interesting I have been telling people that it looked like Debbie and Michael had a special bond and that she was around the kids. This just concurs with many peoples stories that debbie would visit . Like I said before we dont know over the years when she visited Michael was secretive.
Sha, this is quite interesting discovery. When she was quoted in the evening news on CNN it was stated the should something happen to the children, would she take the children and she stated “Michael would have had someone to take them” which CNN is saying would be taken into consideration should a custody hearing arise. It also stated that she gave up parental rights to Michael, but that was overturned by a judge. Being that she always talked about how she and Michael were so close, she was not provided for in his will; so I’m thinking that’s why she wants custody…now she is using the fact that Joe Jackson being in the home is the reason. I hope that the Jackson’s don’t settle out of court with her because that would mean she was given money, knowing that, although she claimed closeness and friendship, he paid her 8.5 million for those children. Why would he have not named her in the will, if that’s what he wanted. There’s only Mrs.Jackson and Ross. Hmmm.
on second thought, they divorced before this will. Legally wouldn’t the will over ride any divorce stipulations?
In an interview with journalist Annette Witheridge, published in the Daily Mail in February 2008,Rowe said she saw Jackson and the children all the time, as they lived only a three-hour drive away. The article said t that the veils used by the children were her idea.
Interesting since that article was out when michael was alive and he never said any of that wasn’t true.
Khrish Hill I honestly dont think she is after the kids right now for the money. I dont know if the will over powers the Divorce decree. From the looks of the divorce decree and articles it looks as if she may have seen those kids more than we would think
As for other comments of people saying the kids were really bonding with the Jackson family on stage oh Please we know Michaels brothers are money hungry and that those kids will get close to anyone right now since they just lost there father.
I hear what you are saying Sha, but if they were that close don’t you think that MJ would have provided for her in his will? I guess because I didn’t hear that she was going to try for custody of the kids. At first, she had said she didn’t know if she wanted to, then she was undecided and don’t you think that since the baby is not hers that she would probably not get him which would separate the children and I’m hoping that the courts wouldn’t do that. Now the hearing has been pused back a week. I guess I’m just supiscious type, but that leads me to think that maybe she thinks she can get money from the family by trying to settle out of court and without having the burden of the children. Remember she said she only had those children for MJ, not out of a material instinct. the news said yesterday, too that she had responded before that if something should happen to the MJ that Michael would have someone to take them as she had no interest in having children. Sha, there are two articles on line from the British Press who had interviews with LaToya Jackson. She is refuting a lot of stuff that has been in the news. She claims that she knows Debbie Rowe and that the children, b/c of MJ wishes as well a Debbie, don’t even know that Debbie is their mother. LaToya claims that Debbie has only seen the children a handful of times and that she will tell all she knows about this woman who was only interested in money if she challenges her mother for custody. The second article claims that Mrs. jackson and Debbie are working out arrangements and trying to see if they settle out of court with a 5Million dollar payment to Debbie. Also LaToya says that in addition the payoff for the children, MJ paid Debbie money every year. She claims that there should be not problems for the youngest child because MJ picked the parents from a cataloge of names. He did not ever see the mother, he does not know who the sperm donor for the father is and the mother who carried Blanket does not know who she carried the baby for. Again, this is what the articles are saying from an interview with LaToya….who knows

Its so funny how all the Jackson’s want to come out of the woodworks and act like they were close with Michael and his kids when some of Michael’s own Managers have said that he wasn’t close to any of the Family only janet and Katherine. I feel since debbie did that article more than a year ago that Michael or his Publicist would have Refuted what Debbie was saying if it wasn’t true.
Sha, tis true and we all do know that LaToya is a “looney tune”. After all she did have in her book and made a few TV talkshows saying that her brother MJ was a child molester. I couldn’t believe that she would publicly say or write something like that about her own brother. But!!!

In a reported secret arrangement between the two eldest children’s mother and grandmother, Debbie Rowe agreed to give Katherine Jackson custody of the kids if she in turn agreed to keep them far away from Joe and not allow him to have any part in raising them.
A source suggests: “The last thing she wanted was for those kids to be looked after by Joe and go through what Michael went through. When [Rowe and Jackson] were [married], Michael poured out his heart about how much he loathed Joe for what he had done.”
Joseph and Katherine don’t even live together, so he really has nothing to do with the whole custody thing. And Debbie Rowe, in my opinion, shouldn’t even get the kids at all. She chose $8.5 million dollars over her own babies, her own flesh and blood. She’s only trying to get them now for money. Blanket isn’t even hers so why is she trying to get him? I know one reason is to not split the kids apart but even then so, it’s still up to them. I honestly think they’ll pick the Jacksons. They have been there for them and they are obviously a family that they have KNOWN and they know the rest of the Jackson fam cares about them. Did you see how they clinged on to their grandmother Katherine and also onto Janet, Rebbie, LaToya, and all the other Jackson siblings at the memorial? They truly love their family, Debbie hasn’t even been a part of their lives, so they basically don’t even know her, so WHY should she get the kids???

Just when it looked like children would be able to with Katherine, in comes Papa Joe on National T.V. going around telling the world that they’re going be entertainers just to get a quick buck. Now I wouldn’t be surprise to see all of these family services step in and insist that children go to Debbie Rowe all because of Papa Joe’s buffoonish behavior.

I know Katherine will be a good Grandmother do them but i am really worryed about Joe. He sounds power hungry again. you would think that he would have had enough for one life time but no, He’s joe Jackson. I hope they have normal childhoods. I hope there childhoods are nothing like Michael’s.
although i don’t like how joe will probably be a stage grandpa…when i watched the funeral i saw that paris is an entertainer. when they were singing we are the world she was bopping her head and she had the same light in her eyes her father had when he performed and you can tell she wants to do something cause she offered to speak at the funeral, they wanted janet to speak but paris grabbed the mic.
I agree. Since Michael named Diana Ross as a backup guardian and she’s a showbiz Mom who has kids in showbiz, it must have been alright with Michael if his kids go into the business. Diana’s kids have grown up scandal free and are successful in their own rights. And her two sons rich father passed away before they were adults and they have thrived and survived quite nicely.
I just hope Paris does not follow in the steps of whoreish Auntie Latoya who stripped naked for Playboy for money and married a man who physically abused her. Could you believe her, up on the stage with the kids at the memorial acting as though she could be virtuous? She also slandered her deceased brothers name and accused him of being guilty of molesting boys.
Grandpa Joe is not the only one of the Jackson’s who would be a bad influence on the children.
I hope the kids end up like other stars that go to college and work in showbiz. Paris, Michael and Blanket’s paternal uncles did not develop business backup skills which is why they are now allegedly
working odd jobs to make ends meet and probably to still pay child support for some of their kids.
It’s true she seems to want to be an entertainer. As for Joe I saw the interview. He really didn’t seem all that bad to me when he was talking. The interviewer asked him about it he didn’t volunteer it. He just sounded like a proud grandpa. He even said he heard Blanket was a good dancer. When asked if he’s seen him dance he said no. Even he was going to be a tyrant like the media is claiming he probably would’ve made the kid dance for him. I really wish the media would stop taking the Jackson’s words out of context.
They are doing a special tonight at 10:00 pm on PRIMETIME and they will visit with MJ parents. Guess I’ll see what they have to say. I can’t believe that Mrs. Jackson is going to give the “babyseller” 4 Mil. and once again she gives up her parential rights. How many times can she give that up. One judge overturned it once. I certainly hope that the Jackson do what is necessary to keep another Judge from overturning it or she’ll be back for more money. I hope she chokes on every dollar.
Sha, I really don’t think that Rowe has a whole lot to say about J. Jackson. If we look at her history she and J are pots of the same color. If you put them both in a bag, it would be a wild guess as who would fall out first. She is on record of saying that she wanted nothing to do with these children. Remember, they were a gift to Michael (sale) and she has no materal attachment, or words thereabout. Why then should a judge be partial to her over Mrs. Jackson. My nosiness just tells me that Rowe and that Klein have their hands as co-workers to keep their hands on MJ’s money. I admit that I am biased toward Rowe because I see her as someone who would not be a good mother by her own admission. I am a nosey parker in wanting to know exactly why any court would even entertain a suit from a woman who readily gave up her paternal rights in the first place. A woman who has had to think it over before she could decide if she even wanted to fight for these children. If she isn’t ever sure that she wants to develop maternal instinct for her own children, what about Blanket. Because the courts are reported to say that they would not separate the children, what will happen to him. Given his interview on Larry King, I am convinced that Klein was the one who urged her to go after the custody of these children to insure that they would keep their hands on the money. Her idea to use veils and masks for the children in public was a terrible one as it only promoted more interest in the media getting pictures of the children. There are many big stars who have children and have been able to keep them out of the glare of the media without such dramatic methods that serves to draw attention. If MJ had felt that she would have been a good mother, he would have given her the back up role should him mother not be able to care for them. Why would he have reached all the way to Ross for that backup. Why would the courts replace people that the children know as grandmother, aunt, uncle with someone who saw them few times and is known as “Miss Debbie”. That just doesn’t make any sense at all. Though the courts couldn’t care less about my opinion, I just don’t see this woman reaching out to care for these children except for the money. I could be wrong, but I don’t think that I am. As far as I am concerned, money is her only motive. I only pray that the best interest of the children is what comes into play after all is said and done.
I’m curious as to why Joe Jackson never considered managing a career for his out-of-wedlock daughter, Joh’Vonnie Jackson.

For Joe, I think it was a one shop deal. the jacksons were pretty much it for him. Plus he may want nothing to do with out-of-wedlock child and the reminder of his phildering and not using a condom. I think he almost lost Katherine over it.
I always wondered if he had other children. It seems unlikely to be with one women for over 50 years and not have other children outside the relationship somewhere. I am not saying that it’s not possible. I believe it’s very possible just unlikely.
I am not sure if she looks like Joe Jackson, but she don’t look that much like the Jackson sibling clan.
The first link is a picture of the mother of Joh’Vonnie with Joe Jackson. She was one of son Jackie’s groupies that Joe supposedly slept with.
The 2nd link is Joh’Vonnie who looks to me like Janet Jackson about a hundred pounds heavier than she is presently.
Between albums and workouts, Janet has been almost as big as her baby half-sister.
