A.M.>>>You’re right. There isn’t anything wrong with her shirt. A lot of young people are wearing them. It’s the idiots who hide their racist faces behind a computer that have to talk ish about an 11 year old girl. They are cowards to say the least.

Boy, since Mr. Obama has been president these people have gone out of their minds. I want to know when the rule of “yelling fire in a crowded theater” will come into effect? It is unreal the amount of hatred spewed at some of the websites about this family. We did a great thing in the election year but there are some people who are just vile and racist to the core.

i read about this a few days ago and it really made me sick. one poster said i wonder when she will have her first abortion. its disgusting and it breaks my heart. my father was talking about this and he said some people will rather have the country fail than be run by a black man. they rather lose their jobs and be poor than have a black man running for president. its really sad. being 30 and only experiencing a little bit a racism here and there is hard enough for me. my father is 74 and grew up in backwoods GA as a sharecropper he still has to talk to me about these things because i get so angry. he never gets angry. he just strugs it off and says if you take your time to understand white people( even your friends) nothing will surprise you.

It’s a shame that these hate filled people would flame an innocent child.

Is it me or is racism becoming more blatant?

Not surprising at all. A lot of people hate Obama for their own irrational reasons but to take it out on a 11 year old girl is pretty low and disgusting. We live in a country were freedom of speech is welcomed so they can comment all they want but it just shows their ignorance. Republicans will just continue to push potential voters away from their party without the other party having to do or say anything at all. Their reaction to a black man in power is just turning into a race war now. Clinton in many ways was just as liberal as Obama but in no way did his daughters have to go through this kind of verbal attack.

Racism should not be ignored. It needs to be educated, enlightened, revealed, spotlighted…eradicated.

Those full grown men should be ashamed of themselves. There is no excuse for this type of behavior from adult men, this is an eleven year old child and should be off limits from any comments. There is nothing wrong with her shirt, people have been wearing peace signs for years. Peace is a good thing everyone wants peace except the extreme right.

I read about this. From my personal perspective, it just goes to show why in MANY people’s eyes (including my own), a great many people within this particular political party represent detestable ideologies and reprehensible notions regarding “race” and “gender”. Who would go so far as to go on a ‘cyber’ witch hunt against an innocent 11 year old for no reason whatsoever? They keep making themselves look worse, and worse, and worse, and worse, and worse…you get the idea.

You got it right, H~Boogie83. Probably would be sooo many compliments about how ‘cute’ and ‘trendy’ she is. Malia Obama, a well-bred and dignified young woman, is however, subject to vicious ridicule and hate speech all based on nothing more than the level of melanin in her skin. The people who launched racially-based attacks on the President’s daughter are shameful excuses for Americans and frankly, for human beings as well.

Why did the author here throw in that they didn’t allow latinos either? Nowhere in the article did it talk about latinos, only black children.

This isn’t looking good for repubs at all. They may NEVER get back in the black house… I mean the white house.

Shameful to attack a 11 year old girl. There is nothing wrong with her shirt. I guess they would like to see 11 year black girls wearing shirts advertising their sexuality or showing 40 ounces malt liquors cigarrettes.

    To he!! with them.

    To he!! I say.

About ‘blacks adopting white child’ article in essence –

    um… So?

The only reason why this is news because of the supply and demand for white babies. So the demand (white parents) outweighs the supply of white children, then when one becomes available it assumed that it would go to a white parent and not a black one.

With black kids the supply supposedly outweighs the demand so they are more open to anyone adopting them.

But note I said white BABIES. There are plenty of older white children between 7-18 in the system awaiting for a home. Not as many as black children, but there are a lot of them. You check the available children for adoption in your state and see that there are white children available for adoption who probably wouldn’t mind being adopted by a loving family, including a black one.

I know it’s not going to be popular on this site, but it seemed to be okay for DEMOCRATS to attack all of Sarah Palin’s children, nonstop, including her Downs Syndrome baby. Have you been to leftist sites like Daily Kos and Huffington Post? I don’t think it’s okay in either case, but, where were you all when Palin’s kids were being attacked daily? Probably laughing and joining in on the fun.

As for Malia, the Obama’s knew that their daughter’s shirt would make a political statement, and, in fact, I believe they probably even picked the shirt out for her to wear. They claim they want to protect their kids and keep them out of the spotlight, but I don’t think that’s the case.

Sorry, the Sarah Palin thing doesn’t enter the equation. I for one consider myself a liberal and not once even thought about her children–it didn’t even begin to become a factor with me. And for millions of other liberals, they were paying attention to what type of politician and what kind of capable leader she was, not wasting time attacking little children. For the Democrats who did attack her kids, that was wrong and I completely disagree with that behavior because it invalidates any point one attempts to make regarding the REAL issues at hand. However, two wrongs do not make a right and t-shirts have nothing to do with anything. Hate speech is hate speech is hate speech and would’ve been directed towards her whether she was wearing a “peace” t-shirt or a dress.

During Bush’s presidency, I heard many conservatives preach about how people should give respect to the President because he WAS our leader. Why don’t they follow their own advice? Regardless of what the people on that blog thought of President Obama, they should have GIVEN him the respect he is entitled to because he IS indeed our President. That simply is common respect and courtesy. That includes showing respect for his family and conducting themselves as decent human beings instead of snarling racists who shame our country. This is not what America is about, and not what Americans are about. People like the kind who spread hate speech against our President’s daughter belittle the country they live in and do not respect the words written in the Constitution: “All men are created equal”.

I am a daily reader of Huffington Post. NO ONE there made fun of Trig. That is a blatant lie, based on a picture that had nothing to do with the baby. It was making fun of Sarah Palin and that radio host (I can’t remember his name). It had NOTHING to do with the baby. Things are said about Bristol Palin, who as a legally grown 18-year-old put herself in the limelight by flip-flopping on her stance concerning abstinence. There is a HUGE difference in making light of someone who has a baby, promotes abstinence, says it’s not realistic, then promotes it again and launching blatant racist attacks against an 11-year-old because of a shirt.

If you don’t understand the difference, shame on you.
