SINITTA: BEING A SINGLE MOM IS THE “HARDEST JOB IN THE WORLD”
British singer Sinitta says that she didn’t sign up to be a single mom when she and her soon-to-be divorced husband decided to adopt their children in 2008.
“I did panic when I realized I’d be raising them on my own,” she reveals to Now magazine. “I’d only just got my head around being a mother and suddenly I had all the responsibility.”
She adds, “My mum brought me up alone, so I now understand what she went through. It’s the hardest job in the world.”
Sinitta is ,however, coping with having to raise her children Magdalena, 4, and Zac, 2.
“I’ve had my babies for more than two years and my life’s totally changed. The first year was the toughest. Although I can look back and think: ‘OK, we’re coping’, it’s still hard. But I love them and can’t imagine life without them.”
“It’s not something I’d recommend, but you make it work because you have to.”
Sinitta is now in the process of divorcing her husband, financier Andy Willner.

How does the kids look like her? they’re adopted,lawdy. She sounds selfish to me, cause a real mother would neva doubt her loyalty to her children because a man left. She sounds as if she wish she could give them back.

Oh come on, the woman didn’t say she wanted to give them back. She just panicked when she realized she had to do it alone. Single motherhood is not an easy thing and a selfish mother would have just thrown in the towel and walked away.

i don’t know if its the line “It’s not something I’d recommend, but you make it work because you have to.” that people are refering to because if u read the interview with now rather than just wat bck has written it comes out in a slightly diferent context, shes saying that being a single mother is not something she’d recommend, shes not talking about the adoption of her children, it looks that way because thats where bck put the quote!

Yes I do. My mother was one of them. She worked damn hard and it wasn’t always easy.
This woman wasn’t doubting her kids, she was doubting herself and whether she could do right by them. (Any good mother would worry if they are doing right by their kids.) Who the hell goes into single parenthood bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?
How do you know that single parents don’t say “things like that”? Did you sit down with all of them and asked them how they are feeling and thinking?

are you serious, i’m a married woman with a 10 month old and expecting my second, plus I have 2 Step children that I love as my own, and I ask myself on a daily basis if I’m doing right by my children, If I had to become a single mother after making the decision with my husband to have these children, lord only knows what I would be saying then. Raising children is a hard job, if your single or not, however to adopt children and raise them as your own, its even tougher. Give her some slack, She’s taking care of someone else’s responsibility, could you luvvieboo do that?

That is so sad. It’s one thing to be a single mom with your babies from the beginning, or to be a single mom to your natural born kids, but it’s a little different becoming a single mom to adopted kids. Of course your heart still loves them the same way regardless, but emotionally and psychologically, your mind goes through the “single parent woes” a little differently. Don’t you think?

YEAH ! wtf SINITTA ! if you weren’t ready for children – regardless of YOUR MARITAL STATUS, you should have NEVER had them! it sounds as if she legit does NOT want her adopted babies now that her man is gone! CELEBS or watever you wanna call her because IVE never heard of her — need to watch what they SAY about their children because although they did not hear it and do not have the means to hear it NOW…they will grow up, and all of this bs she is talkin’ will be archived for them to read and for them to hate her for. how selfish, immature, and irresponsible.
