i’m still disturbed that madonna adpoted her in the middle of her tour. how is she supposed to bond to madonna and feel a sense of stability running all over europe?

i was wondering the same thing about Madonna adopting in the midst of her tour. to date, i think we’ve seen Mercy out and about more times with her nanny than with her own adoptive mother. like what was the big hurry? was she trying to set the new record for the white celeb with the most adopted black children from Africa? because all the other celebs only have one. Angelina was the only other one i heard thinking of adopting another African child. i guess Madonna had to be first…
Why do you all just make assumptions? People have explained repeatedly how it all went down. Girl adopted the baby before she went on tour and she’s been trying to adopt her for a long time. We see pictures of the kids because they go out when their momma goes to work. You all just assume the worst in people and can’t be happy for others. Now that’s just a shame.
once that country said ok go ahead and adopt mercy madonna jumped on it! she wasn’t about to wait and give the country a chance to change their mind cuz they already denied the adoption once.good she done it when she did cuz that country could have a change of heart at anytime
Im sorry but angelina and heidi need to take note.at least Madonna is keeping the little girls hair done.BUt lets not forget that madonna is from detroit so she is probaly familiar with black hair styles.

personally i think zaharas hair don’t look bad angelina keeps both her girls hair natural, and the main thing is that it looks nourished and healthy unlike henrys lol

Madonna has been in Mercy’s like for a lil over 2 years now. They bonded before she was even legally adopted.
How is Heidi apart of the equation her children aren’t adopted and they are boys. Maybe somewhere down the line they’ll get a hair cut or something.
Lastly I am pretty sure Madonna is not the person actually doin Mercy’s hair.
She looks so cute, love her little outfit. Lucky little girl, I wonder if she misses her Grandma and family back in her country though?
The fact of the matter is at least the lil girls hair is done… AND We all know that adopting babies from over seas is becoming a trend amongst these white celebs so they can have something to keep them in the tabloids.. When we have plenty of black kids over here that need to be adopted how sad… =0( People it’s all for show nothing that significant… Those kids will grow up confussed I personally think she should of left them where they were at there’s a reason why they were there in the first place they were born there thats their culture… People need to stop confusing these children!! jwoo2504..I understand what you are saying and I can only hope that the children will be taught about their culture and history and be allowed to visit their homelands frequently.
Side note…how much do you think our own black children that live in black communities really know about their history and culture??

It’s kind of sad to see some of the comments here from people being so cynical about adoption. That it’s just for show and these kids are puppets. You would think you were all talking about someone who is a D-Lister and not one of the most famous people ever. I’m happy for the little girl and for David, they’re definitely looking like they’re having a great time. I hope that Madonna continues to take them back to Malawi and that they learn about their country and culture as they grow up.
As for Lig’s comment. Madonna met both Mercy and David back in 2006 and has tried to adopt her for quite some time now. She filed for the adoption early in the year but as we all know the process dragged on until June I think. Madonna didn’t start touring until sometime in July. Obviously she planned on having Mercy at home for far longer, but what was she supposed to do at that point, tell Mercy that she’d pick her up in September when she was done touring? Or cancel her sold out tour and face a multitude of lawsuits that could possibly bankrupt her? Neither option is plausible.
She is doing the best she can given the circumstances. She takes the kids with her all the time and spends time with them before she head off to work, at times they even go with her since there is a playroom next to her dressing room for the kids.
Give me a break, african americans don’t even teach their kids about their history or culture. Majority of them don’t even know what their history is. So why are Madonna kids any different? and Angelina teaches all her adopted kids their culture and take them frequently back home. I’m just happy the kids are out of the situations they were in. Why in the hell would I want them to stay in poverty? just so they could know their culture. At least they will eat well, have regular doctor visits, get a good education, travel well and have money for college. Why should white people adopt kids in the US when most of us as african americans want even adopt them. Oh yea alot of black folks will be foster parents and that’s just for the check. Kids look happy and healthy and that is all that matters. Plus Madonna have major problems on her hands with 2 dead men and the injured ones from that stage falling.
President Barack Obama was raised by white people. Need I say more? Those kids are gonna be fine.
Those were President Obama’s blood relatives. He was not adopted.
