Singer Kelis will soon welcome her baby boy as she is presently in labor! The singer who missed her regular twitter session this morning is also missing out on a scheduled court date.
TMZ is reporting that the singer is currently in labor and will be unable to attend her “scheduled court date to fight Nas for child support and baby and prenatal expenses.”
It is also being reported that Nas is not by his estranged wife’s side.

I know right step the hell up Nas!It’s men like you that makes it hard for real women.
It is easy to say Nas step up but Nas is not the only party involved. Both of them need to step up. And ladies let’s not forget that we can be mean spirited when we set our minds to so let’s just see what happens in the next few months before we start to judge.

Given their current situation, Nas probably doesn’t even know she’s in labor or maybe he’s in transit, trying to get to her.
Not ta make excuses for him but maybe he feels like his presence might cause an uneccessary stress for her labor. Ive give birth twice and the last thing i would want while im in labor is someones negative energy or tone in the labor room. Just a thought guys thats all.
Zineca, you have a point. Maybe she didn’t want him there. Having a baby is such a wonderful and special time in a couple’s life. Too bad things didn’t work out for them.

My son’s father was in the room with me and argued with me until the doctor told me it was time to push. It was the worst time of my life, when it was suppose to be the most happiest time! Of course it all changed when I saw my son’s face, but the point is……I would’ve rather him leave the room. I didn’t want to take that away from him, so if this is the case…..I take my hat off to Nas for knowing when to just back off!
I WISH HE SAW HIS SON COME INTO THE WORLD I HOPE THEY RECORDED IT.

I’m not surprised by Nas’s absence, I wonder if she got the dula? I hope the baby is happy and healthy can’t wait to see him.
I just read an update that Nas is on his way to the hospital…..
We really don’t know their current situation so let’s not place judgement…lets just wish them the best and pray that Kelis has a safe delivery. Congratulations!!!!!
My point exactly! I’d hate to have a baby with some of these women on here, they’re jumping to conclusions all ready! Sheesh! LOL!

Why is everyone assuming Nas is the bad guy? I am sure he will be there for the baby in everyway possible. There are two sides to every story, and just because he isn’t putting it all out there on Twitter, doesnt mean he has not stepped up for his son. I hope she looks more like a mother and not a punk rocker when she has her son. I’m saying! He might be scared with all that blue hair and all. He might grow up thinking he’s a smurf.

No excuse, i lose respect for Nas on this one if he does not attend. When that football player broke up with his pregnant girlfriend started dating another, He still flew to the bedside to watch his unborn son delevered, And he did not say a word to the MOm. since they were not on speaking terms. IF I were a guy, I would fight to see my unborn child, Unless I was not sure the kid was mine.
She is probably not letting Nas in the room. People think about it before you go accusing him.

How do we know he isn’t there? Like I said, Just because he isnt putting his business all in the street, like his soon to be ex-wife, does not mean he is not there.
