LL COOL J TO HIS KIDS: “YOU BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE”

Rapper/actor LL Cool J, who is set to star in a new Primetime series this fall, has nothing but encouraging words for his four children. The star was recently asked what advice he gives his kids and he responded:
“They gotta do what they feel is right for them. I won’t allow anyone to set the bar for them, you know. I put my hands on them and tell them look, you be who you want to be. I tell my son you don’t have to be LL Cool J. You don’t have to be something that’s like LL Cool J in order to be a success and don’t allow the world to force you to believe or make you believe that that’s what you have to be. You be who you want to be. Just be successful.”
In all, LL Cool J has daughters Italia, 18, Samaria, 13, and Nina Simone, 9, and son Najee, 20, with wife Simone.
LL’s new series “NCIS: Los Angeles” will debut this fall.

Oh lawd, that man so fine, time just makes him look betta. Yea LL have a very nice looking family. His kids have really grown, remember the little one as a baby. He need to bring back some old school rap for the sistahs like me,lol.
I agree he should make some old school, instead of all the really nasty stuff. I am so tired of turning on the radio and hearing songs about strippers and making it rain. And who does not have a song with T-Pain in it these day? Death of Auto-tune……………moment of silence.

I love the responsible roles he shows to the public with his family. He is also an excellent actor. I have always been a fan and I like the image of the family man, star that he presents to the public. It’s good to know that all men are just making babies and moving on to the next woman. He has a positive image to present to young men. You can be sexy, buff and a real man, father and husband. congrat to LL may you continue to succeed and never feel it necessary to lose that positive image.
