IT’S JUST HAIR?! WTH…that looks a mess! Just because the child took after Eddie about the head & she don’t know what to do with it, doesn’t mean have the child walk around looking crazy. I’m sure Mel makes enough money to have someone do her hair if she can’t handle it.
That’s why you need to really be careful/selective who you lay down with.

What Mel has done is disgraceful (little girls want to look like princesses not Beyond The Thunderdome extras!!!!) and all because she is incapable or unwilling to deal with Afro hair (she has always been this way, most likely because she grew up with a white mother in a place with relatively few black people. Her own hair is mostly terrible). I thought that she might have got a clue now that she has moved to America but I can see that nothing has changed, lucky *for her*, Phoenix-Chi is also biracial and doesn’t need special attention with her hair… I guess she chose who she ‘lay down with’ well there, huh (broke, gold digging dancer)???

Anyway, I completely agree that this hair style is ridiculous. I think it’s silly when boys, teens, adults do it…so having it on a little girl looks JUST AS BAD.
She has a suprisingly cute face though, considering monkey-man-Eddie Murphy is her father.

Why are we surprised, I read somewhere that a friend of Eddie Murphy was said Mel B was crazy. Although I don’t believe everything I read, but You would have to be crazy to do this to a childs hair. Just put a perm on it already if you cannot manage it.
Oh yeah! I blame Eddie, Mel is taking it out on the baby since Eddie dissed and dumped her in public. Maybe it’s to embrass him.
Like he probably care. Has he even stepped up to the plate yet? If that is the case on her part, shame on her (shame on her anyway for that). The child didn’t tell either one of them to lay up & have unprotected sex & bring her into this world.
I really think Eddie looked at Mel like a piece & she got caught of guard by her feelings. Trust me, I’m not on his side (dirty dog). But I can’t see any man that was really into a woman all of a sudden being that heartless.
Women, our judgment tend to get real clouded when it comes to “just sex” & love/actual relationship. It doesn’t take a genius to recognize signs of a man not being on the same page as you as far as a relationship goes. All kinds of signs will pop out & hit you in the face, even if he’s lying acting like it’s more than what it is. Some women just choose to ignore the signs & see what they want to see.
She is still very cute. But I am floored that mel b would do that to her hair. I mean BALD on the sides. Its not even a fro hawk. It looks awful. Its only hair and it will grow back but that is bad. Horrible bad.

i CAN’T BELIEVE she did that to that little GIRL’S hair!!!! it looks sooooo bad! she is so down bad for that! She could’ve just let her walk around with a fro! i had to stare at the pic for a moment, i was just so shocked! i couldn’t believe someone had did that to their daughter’s hair! and, i dont care if it will grow back, even if it could grow back tomorrow, you still dont do that to a girl’s hair. It’s bad enough that adults do it (being that the bible said you should never shave the sides of your head) but to put that mess on a child! it’s RIDICULOUS!!!!!

It just kills me how many times these posts end up in a conversation about hair. It’s not that serious. Black women, we are more than our hair, and if we are only our hair… about 85% of us are living a lie.
LOL. The comment you made about 85% of black women living a lie if all we amount to is our hair is soooo true. I am not a big fan of the hairdo. Personally I would have braided the sides down and kept the middle natural to create the allusion of a mohawk (so that the hairdo isn’t so permanent) but truthfully it is JUST HAIR! So often people make mountains out of things that are personal preferences. My son is two and has had his ears pierced since the age of one. His dad has pierced ears and he wants to be just like him so I let him. Most people like it but there are still a few who make negative comments about things like that but the reality is he will never be forced to wear it and if he ever gets tired of it he can simply take it out (just like the little girls hair will grow back). People are so busy looking at little things they dont even fo
cus on the positive. He lives a better life than most adults do. Anyone can sit around and gripe about pointless issues that they don’t agree with such as a child being too young for a cell phone alive doesn’t realize that they could be judged just like they’re judging this little girl.
Ok I think some of you are making a big deal out of nothing. As I stated, I am not feeling this look but she is not my child.
How many of you are ok with mothers piercing their daughters ears when they are babies or are too young to state their opinion? Is it ok to place a permanent hole in your child’s body? Angel’s hair will grow back but piercing’s are something that they will not be able to change and I never saw 1 complaint about that.

Oh, this is bad. Why she go and do that to that poor child? It’s not like she cut it short on the sides, it’s completely bald. Such a pretty girl and her momma’s using her as a cute prop to get attention. Now that’s just shameful.

Maybe something happened to her i.e gum in it and they had to cut it . I know I’m grasping at straws but there has to be a reasonable explanation .Dang at least they could have combed it. What a pretty little girl. I think the hair do is a bit extreme given her age. Maybe she could have left a bit of hair on the sides to soften the look?
