Jermaine Jackson, his wife Halima Rashid, and his sons Jaffar,13, and Jermajesty,9, attended the Save The World award ceremony in Zwentendorf in Lower Austria on July 24, 2009. The whole event was a tribute to the late Michael Jackson, who was honored for his humanitarian efforts. Click to see more from the rainy event.
Jermaine received an award on behalf of his late brother and said the following.
“I’m very proud that Michael enriched the lives of so many people, not only with his music but with his immense generosity. Michael’s message has always been ‘heal the world’ but he alone could never have accomplished that so it is left up to every one of us to ensure that we do.”

Hey everyone…Joe Jackson just comfirmed tonight, July 29, 2009 on TVone that Michael IS the father of Omer Bhatti.
Some one just put the interview on Youtube.
It is titled “Joe Jackson confirms Omer Bhatti is Michael Jackson’s son”.
That may indeed be true, but I wouldn’t believe Joe Jackson if he told me the sun was hot and water’s wet.
I am soooooo confused about all of this.
Just last week Jermaine too released a statement indicating that Omer Bhatti is Michaels son.
Now this third party who is an alleged friend of Omer says that Omer told him that Michael wasnt his dad.
I would love to hear what Omer has to say about this.
No more third party speculation and/or lies.
Jermaine didn’t come right out and say that Omar was Michael’s son. he said it POSSIBLE that he was Michael’s child – sounded like carefully worded lawyer-speak just in case Omar is a Jackson by blood.
The only thing that will convince me at this point is a blood test. Supposedly living with Michael at Neverland for a while and being able to dance like the KOP isn’t enough proof for the likes of me. Of course, I’m not surprised that Joe would use this to get his face and voice out there yet again.
Joe Jackson is just mumbling and lying to make people think that he is an insider of the family. He’s a day late and a dollar short because the boy has already said that he is not Michael’s son. I didn’t see it on U Tube, I saw the actual interview on CNN and even the talk host were teeheeing about Joe and his statements saying that he didn’t really confirm anything. Why? Because he doesn’t know anything. He better stay away from those young girls before he flips out altogether. he’s doing more harm to himself than good.

About the lawsuit against the will. If they were all apart of the contract why should they have to sue to get what is obviously rightly theirs? Does it have to do with publishing rights or something?

Alledgely Omer Bhatti told a “friend” that Michael is not his father.
I believe this to be totaly false being that it came from a third party and not Omer himself.
I had read on some site where Jermaine said that the Jackson family was NOT denying Omer’s paternity and that if he is Michael’s son he will be loved just the same as the other 3 kids.
I think that Omer as an adult is not trying to ride on Michael’s coatatils and that Michale is indeed his biological dad but Omer has too much love and respect for Michael to add to this already bizaare craziness that has been going on since his death.
Michael himself was questioned back in 2003 about being Omer’s father and according to friends and relatives he did claim this child but did not want to thrust him in the limelight as his birth was a result of a one night stand.
Michael had no choice when it came to the births of his other kids because he was married to their mother Debbie Rowe and she couldnt hide that big ole 6 month pregnant belly when they got married.
Speaking of mothers…I heard on CNN last week that there is a very strong possibility that Omer’s biological mom is also the egg donor for Blanket.
That may be true as Blanket and Omer look almost identical as children and Michael himself said that Blankets egg donor mother didnt want to be identified because she is a very close family friend.
I dont know all of the ends and outs of Michael’s complex life…whew Im tired just writing this and thinking on it!
So basically what you’re saying is people still have know idea! LOL! Well I guess it’s not really our concern. I just hope that if it is true the children don’t suffer from this news. I hope they don’t feel like their dad lied to them. He’s not around to explain himself to them anymore and news like this could be devastating to a child. So if it’s true I hope he at least told them about it. If it’s not true I hope the rumor fades quickly.
I don’t know something just doesn’t seem to ring true for me. Like why wouldn’t Michael have claimed him when he was little? He has always loved and wanted children. He went through hell and back (literally) with Rowe just so he could have children. He than got a surrogate for Blanket. So why would someone who obviously wanted children so much not acknowledge his first born? I don’t know I just don’t get it. I just hope it’s solved quickly which ever way it goes.

I’m sure the two of them have their heads together as to how to get some money since their “cash cow” is gone. I just don’t like either of them, they both look so shady and underhanded. I knew that the Black doctor would be the one to get made the patsy for this whole thing. They have said that they questioned many doctors but none of the names except the Klein guy has been named. Mrs. Jackson’s lawyer said that the custody of the children would have nothing to do with a financial settlement; but I’m sorry, I don’t buy it. That chunky ho will never get any money out of anyone else so I know she is in there trying to get everything she can. If she had been mentioned in the will, she would have never gone after those children. She doesn’t want them around J. Jackson. She and J. This whole situation is all about finaces for the people who considered themselves close to Michael while he was alive.
Outside of his family, I agree with you Khrish, Michael should have been more careful of who he associated with, especially Debbie Rowe.
What did he see in her, other than blonde hair, blue eyes and White Nordic skin that would guarantee Whiter looking offspring for Michael to love?
This is just pure speculation, but it must have been their mutual love of animals and things related to dermatology, since that’s her area of specialty, that made Michael feel compelled to marry Debbie Rowe as well as to support her financially through settlements for the remainder of his life.
Well forget the looks because MSNBC announced that the young man admitted that he was not the son of Mj. It seems they met when the young man was 12 and yes his parents came to work at Neverland. And everyone was talking about how much he looked like MJ; because he went out of the way to make himself look like MJ. At least when push came to shove he owned up to his lie.
They reported it this morning on MSNBC. I am usually on the political sites on the web and totally CNN/MSNBC or Bravo because I a really a political junkie. LOL anyway that’s where I heard it.

Khrish I followed up on the Marlon thing and I found out he is in Nigeria. Apparently the family is setting up a peace foundation in Michael’s name. I’ll cut and paste exactly what he said!

Did you hear the report that since Marlon, Jackie,Randy, Jermaine and Tito were not specifically named in the Michael Jackson Will, they and Joe Jackson, as the previous manager of the Jackson 5, will have to eventually sue Michael’s estate to benefit financially from past contracts they all joined into together when Michael was part of the Jackson 5?
It legally/financially behooves them to be getting out and about making nice and continuing Michael’s good deeds throughout the globe.
Since they don’t seem to be doing anything else except planning a reunion tour to make money, they may as well do something positive in honor of their fallen brother.
It’s better than them still trying to make babies as middle aged men now. I guess they’ve learned that the more babies you make the less money you have….unless you’re somebody with money like Berry Gordy and their late brother.
Anonymous they are not “all out making babies in their middle age” as you’ve stated. In fact the only one who has young children other than Michael is Jermaine, and his children are like 9 and 13 (or something in that ball park).I think they are more likely enjoying their children and grand kids than worrying about whether they’ve had too many of them. Plus Marlon helped to create a family oriented TV network. Jermaine and Jackie have their own record labels. Tito has his own band. Much more than this I don’t know but it doesn’t sound to me like they are sitting around just waiting for money to come their way. They are working!
As for the first statement you made about them having to sue Michael’s estate I can’t really comment on that because I truly don’t know anything about it. It doesn’t seem fair though. If they were originally part of the contract they should still get something from it.
Just to clarify,I wasn’t implying that the Jackson men are presently or in the recent past having babies, I just stated that they are doing more positive things right now in their lives as opposed to what some other middle aged entertainers do, such as the actor Al Pacino, having younger and younger children with younger women in order to stay relevant in the press when not much else is garnering interest in them in terms of entertainment.
It has been reported by mainstream media that Randy and Marlon have both taken odd jobs such as changing tires and stocking merchandise at a department store. Both are honest ways of making a living.
I know that people don’t just work to support children and parental financial obligations don’t necessarily stop just because a minor becomes 18 years of age, especially if one loves their children all of their lives as long as they’re living.
People also have to work to eat and have shelter like Randy and Marlon.
I’m not dissing the Jacksons, just making observations that have been in the news in some form about this family.
Pretty much all that I’m writing about can be easily confirmed just by searching the Internet. Such as the un-named Jackson family members in Michael Jackson’s Will recourse to get included in the estate through lawsuits.
Before Michael died the news said that the family was in process of suing him about a family tour. It seemed he was not to do another concert or tour until they did the family tour. But in reports on the will, there is something there that entitles the members, I’m assuming the brothers, to be given a certain share of money once the estate is pulling in the money through the process set into motion by the executors. As you know they expect the estate to increase sizably once all these finances are coming in and there is not outgo. that is when it will be decided what part will be alloted to the siblings. MJ was not totally anti his brothers; but he seemed to have the inciteful financial knowledge to know that he would be worth much money after his death. While first on his agenda was to ensure that his children, his mother and the home place were taken care of, as he was doing in life. The brothers and sisters could hold on until the estate was able to gain it’s income and there would be money to issue from the interest brought in by the estate. Smart! Already they have added the 5 million and some other properties from a past associate and then sony has purchased the last rehearsal perfomance for 60 million and once that is put on the market, I’m certain that the estate will get a percentage of the box office on that one. They say that while MJ lived in a fantasy, he was indeed an astute businessman. I think people will continue to be surprised and amazed at what he will have done for his family. While he didn’t want them interfering with his personal doings, he still very much loved his family. He has some real big boys as executors and so I tend to believe that he truly knew how to make some money. Little MJ didn’t get where he was being completely ignorant of finances. Anyway, I think that things, financially, are going to be great for the entire family, despite having to loose their brother to make it so. That’s just my opinion from my reading and listen sessions.
Totally off topic but I was wondering your opinions on Rowe going to see Klien the other day. It sounds shady to me but I have not gotten the full story.

Oh and Prince’s name is actually not Prince.It’s Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. Prince is just his nickname. Blankets real name is Prince but they can’t exactly call him that because they were already calling his big brother that. Anyways it could’ve been worse! Joe Jackson’s outwardly cold response to his son’s death, publicly, is unbelievable!
Of course we know that he didn’t speak to his siblings on the daily because he was into practices that he didn’t want them to know about or chastise him about. According to reports, however, he was in constant contact with his mother and she those children. That does not mean that he had stopped caring about his siblings. My goodness, many of them had at one time or the other returned to live in the family home. He was paying all the expenses for his mother at that home so whoever was there benefited from that. I don’t think he insisted that she move them out, do you? We can’t say that he was not still close to his siblings as none of us really do know that, but we do know that when times were rough they were always there for him and that makes a statement within itself. I am extremely happy that they finally got the old man off the television shows because I thought that he was going to cause problems for Mrs.Jackson and the children. No matter what anyone says, I still think that MJ loved both his parents. He may not have wanted to be bothered with his father, but I believe that he loved him.

I suppose I could understand why Jermaine may have been a little jealous. Think about it when the group started he was the lead singer. Than Michael blew everyone away and Jermaine became the 2nd lead singer no longer in front. Michael got most of the attention when they went out to perform, or at award shows etc. As well when Jermaine decided to do his own thing and go solo. Michael did his thing and orbited. Jermaine has always lived in Michael’s shadow. So it is easy to see why he may feel some jealousy. But I still believe he loved him and would do anything for him. I know this is not exactly what you were talking about but I figured I’d share my opinion anyways:)
As for Joe. He’s never been the type to show his emotion. Maybe this is how he is dealing with everything…a stretch I know just trying to formulate a good reason for the man!
Didn’t you know Latoya is crazy. She is the one who accused her own brother,MJ of being a child molester when he was accused of these things. She’s even admitted that she told all those lies about her family. So Latoya wouldn’t be my source for truth. She was jealoous of them all because she was the only one with no talent and became angry with her father because he had the nerve to tell her she had no talent. As years have passed we find that her father was correct.

I found pictures online of Hazel Gordy and her daughter Autumn. Autumn is beautiful and Hazel still looks good. Jermaine must be proud of his first set of kids because they look good and seem like they’ve done alright.

In our money obsessed culture, this is truly impressive for a now 80 year old African American man. Contrast him to Joe Jackson…there’s no comparison though they are around the same age.
Both men are not highly educated, but Berry Gordy truly has class, sophistication and style. He speaks so well. I would have never guessed that his family migrated from Georgia to Motown.

I agree with what you said about the poor belated Michael Jackson. There probably was so much of his genius that the world has been robbed of due to his eccentricities and sudden demise.
Of course I didn’t know him, but given what the public has been made privy to, he seems to have been a tortured soul. Like you said…baby mama drama and sibling/family of origin issues probably drove him insane, just like the rest of us.
I can imagine him looking in a bathroom mirror in his mansion at age 50 and regretting the plastic surgery.
I know I can speak for myself and if I were Michael I would say to myself “I can’t look at myself in this condition for another possible 20 to 30 years”.
And there was no plastic surgery on Earth to undo the damage to his face, his entire head!
This topic is facsinating to me and we are all living the historical moment of Michael’s passing….comparable to experiencing the 911 event.

Retraction! Nothing that Berry Gordy did with women outside of his multiple/serial marriages was more scandalous or as strange as Jermaine marrying his younger brother’s ex-wife and making the kids cousins/siblings! Just my personal opinion.
I am well aware of that. I think he has had about 4 wives. That’s why he couldn’t come down so hard on Jermaine when he started his womanizing. But remember Jermaine walked away from the family first because he felt a loyalty to his father in law.
While I didn’t see it a smart move by Diana to become pregnant by Gordy as she thought that he would marry her; I do feel that Diana learned the game and became smart. She has always married up, fiancially and she can’t stop getting richer. I know that she was quite upset and unhappy when her last marriage failed. But then, no matter what anyone says about Diana, she is a winner and regardless the situation she always bounces back. This is one woman who will always make lemonade from her lemons….or better yet, Whiskey sour. I always said, although we are the same age, ‘When I grow up I want to be just like Diana Ross”. Janet is in Atlanta working on the Tyler Perry movie she left a cuople days after the memorial according to Malik Yoba her co star. This nonsense about Janet and the kids was made up by OK magazine. I have the magazine while they claimed she was with the kids she was already back on the set. Rebbie and Grace the nanny have beeen helping Katherine with the kids. Jermaine has always been the most outspoken of the kids He has been on Larry king 3-4 times before MJ died

Every instance you mentioned in Michal Jackson’s past where Jermaine showed up could also have been viewed as photo opportunities for Jermaine as well as an opportunity to ride his more famous brother’s coat tail.

I think it’s unfair to expect people to grieve a certain way. According to Michael himself he was very close to Jermaine because he looked up to him as his big brother and they always shared a room when they were on the road from an early age. The Jacksons are in show business, and they are used to speaking to the media and showing up to public events. Remember Janet showed up at the BET awards right after Michael died so…??? Was Jermaine supposed to say, no I will no show up to accept an honor on my deceased brother’s behalf?
This award ceremony did not receive mainstream media coverage. To answer your question, Jermaine didn’t have to go or say anything.
The award must not have been too significant for Michael Jackson’s legacy because if it were, “D” list celebrity brother Jermaine probably wouldn’t have been reppin Michael.

The very negative and speculative things that people are saying about the Jackson family is the very thing that casue Michael pain whilst he was still alive.
It devastated Michael when people, the media, ect, judged, juried, and excuted his character.
I believe that Jermaine is jusr pressing forward and trying to keep his beloved brothers memory alive in his own special way and that he is stepping in to let the world know that Michael was his BROTHER forst and foremost which is more important than Michale being ANYONES idol.
May God rest Michale’s soul eternally and give the Jackson comfort in the pain that they are going through.

CNN reports that J.Jackson is saying that he knows the other boy is Michael’s. I don’t think this man knows whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt. He is totally off script. I thought they had shut him up. What a shame.

Yes, I saw Marlon on television the other night accepting an award for MJ. I feel that, with all the siblings, it is important that one of them show up to receive any tribute made to their brother. I don’t feel it an act and besides the bunch of them showed up and especially Jermaine, during the trial. Besides, Jermaine wife is from Afghan. and has her own money which she shares with her husband. If someone wants to honor your sibling, the least you can do is be there to show your appreciation and represent the family.
What award did Marlon receive for Michael? I heard Tito was in Jamaica this past weekend for a tribute. He also received awards for his brother.
I was switching from CNN to MSNBC and they were showing Marlon (with his fine self) accepting an award in honor of his brother. They were already into the report so I didn’t catch which Org. was presenting it.
Well i think it’s nice he goes and gets awards on his brother’s behalf. Also ugh!! It looks like he put stuff in his youngest hair to mash it against his head.
Jermaine, was always with Michael when he was alive. During the trials he was Michaels spoke person and defened him in interviews. During one of his interviews after Michael had passed, he referred to Michael as his baby. Due to the age difference and the amount of children there was and because he was older the responsibility of caring for the younger boys more than likely fell on him. In which, a bond was developed over the years.
My youngest sister is six years younger than me and I refer to her as my baby. I can remember caring for her and she is special to us. There are seven of us and I couldn’t imagine losing one of them, but can sympathize with how Jermaine is feeling.
What he is doing seems genuine and out of LOVE for his brother and not Michael the entertainer as we know him.

You can find them on the web in different pic. with Jermaine. Also His three older children are the grandchildren of Barry Gordy and you can find pictures of them at a Motown affair with their grandfather. But those three are adults.

I agree with both comments, i think he is milking it, which is wrong, but i do believe he is hurt by the passing of his brother.
jermaine is honoring Michael in a good way. I have seen him cry eevery interview he has had. I think he really is hurt. Michael was a regular person but to Jermaine and the jackson family Michael was a brother, father, and son. So let the family mourn and stop bashing them like the media. We dont really know any of the jacksons so we dont need to judge.

BOy o Boy Jermaine is just milking as much of the spotlight as he can get I guess he realizes this is the way to get his name out there again and make money to pay his child support.

I don’t think Jermaine is milking the spotlight at all. I think Jermaine is really hurting and missing his brother Michael. By going around accepting awards on Michael’s behalf and continuing to talk about his brother, I think Jermaine is just trying to deal with the harsh reality that Michael is really gone. With Michael gone, the media has focused alot on the rest of the Jacksons, including Jermaine. Good for him, I say, if he is able to benefit somehow from this great loss. I don’t believe he is enjoying this but he’s willing to share his emotions with the public…that’s a good thing. Jermaine deserves some happiness too. Since he’s stated publically that he wishes he’d died instead of Michael — well that tells you the extent of the pain he’s dealing with inside. I wish Jermaine well.

O please he is milking it You didnt see Jermaine with Michael when he was alive .He has been to every award show and almost every tv or magazine that will interview him. He was not relevant before Michael died now that michael is dead he is relevant again and he knows it thats why they are planning there tour now to make MONEY. Its all about money to them.

Those Jacksons are entertainers first and foremost. You gotta give credit where it’s due. They sing, dance, act, CRY on cue.
Though he didn’t have as many hits as his deceased brother and he didn’t act in movies like “The Wiz” or “Poetic Justice”, Jermaine convinced YOU that he is a great actor, showing how he emotes on cue.

Mrs. Jackson said many years ago that Jermaine was her most sensitive child. She said he was always easy to cry and that whenever they were away, she always knew that jermaine would be the one to call her. Even after he was grown she said that he would call her everyday. I truly do not believe that he is putting on acts. He and Michael were brothers and I certainly feel that the death of his brother would have taken its toll on him. Someone has to go and accept the tributes made to MJ. I saw Marlon accepting one tribute the other night. Give Jermaine some slack, he lost his brother.

The father who protected them was Michael Jackson and until the day they die, the father they will mourn will be Michael Jackson. There is noone who would disagree with you that he is the “father” in deed. The only disagreement if biological ties. We all are aware that he is the only father that they know and love. That is a given.
